The annual Paley Festival keeps chugging along down in Los Angeles.  We told you about the Pushing Daisies panel earlier this week, and today we're going to fill you in on last night's Chuck panel, featuring the cast and creative minds behind NBC's hit freshman dramedy (I know lots of you hate the term “dramedy” and I only use it to anger you.  So, you're welcome).  Though Chuck isn't coming back with any new episodes this season, the team is preparing for a full slate starting in Fall 2008, and production is set to begin in May.

I am so happy that Chuck is coming back and I can't wait for season 2 to start. It looks like there is going to be new characters and that will be interesting to see and I hope the writers have a plan on what worked on Chuck and not disappoint us.

Yes, Chuck will rule. I really hope this new strategy involves a season-long villain. This show could really benefit from a Buffy-style Big Bad. Or at least an Alias-level Arvin Sloane.
