Two weeks ago, NBC aired what has become the final two episodes of Chuck's current season, on the same night but with The Celebrity Apprentice sandwiched between the two Chuck installments. Chuck episode 12 entitled “Chuck Versus the Undercover Lover” aired from 8-9pm while installment 13 called “Chuck Versus the Marlin” got going from 10-11pm. Unfortunately for the network, the Chuck sandwich managed to draw a paltry 6.7 million viewers, which marked record lows for the show. To read the rest, click here.

well of course there were going to be low numbers - they completely changed the night Chuck was on. Thursday and Monday make a BIG difference.

Honestly, NBC made two big mistakes. The first mistake was moving the night Chuck was on. People just didn't know to look for it. The second was showing two in one night. Although I loved that I got a lot of Chuck in one night, I would've much preferred having it spread over two weeks. Without much new content to watch, we as the audience NEED the networks to spread out the episodes so we have things to watch still. And NBC shouldn't worry too much - the two episodes were in the top 10 iTunes downloads for days. I know NBC hates itunes, but hey, that's a good sign.

i hated that they "sandwiched" Chuck, I know heroes isn't on right now but i loved having my monday night line up, having chuck be the lead up to Heroes. NBC definately screwed Chuck over by switching nights, and also if having two episodes in one night isn't bad enough, sandwitching them with the Apprentice in between was just annoying. It was also a very anticlimatic ending for the season to not have the episodes stretched over two weeks.

It was a stupid mistake by NBC. Why they wouldn't run it over two weeks in the original time slot is beyond me.

Ugh! They better not try and cancel Chuck! It was their own bloody fault that the ratings were so friggin' low!

I'm not a fan of the show, but it was definitely a dumb move to air them both on a Thursday.

As all of you all stated, it was a horrible move on NBC's part. I don't know why they thought it would gain them more viewers. Plus, I wouldn't have minded a stretch between the last two episodes. It would have given me something to look forward to, seeing as there's nothing on television except for LOST
