Temari of the Sand

[size=+2]Temari was one of the strongest Genin in the Chunin Exam. She's probably most likely known for her appearences in Part 1. As you can see, Shikamaru and Temari help eachother in Part 1, as if they were partners from the start.
Temari's weapon is a giant iron fan that's probably capable of gaining power with th "stars" or "moons" that appear on her fan if commanded to.Temari can also use this tool as something to glide on for short distances.
The first appearence of the Kamaitachi no Jutsu ( Cutting Whirlwind Technique or Wind Scythe Jutsu) is when Shikamaru was going against Tayuya of the Sound Four in the Sasuke Retrieval mission. The way how Temari's long-range attacks countered Tayuya's got Shikamaru to thinking Temari was born to fight Tayuya.
Temari is able to clear the battlefield of trees, bushes, and any type of environment if needed to.To do so, she creates strong winds to clear the area of those obsticles.

In part 1, when one of Gaara's students was kidnapped by the Shiitenshounin, Temari and Kankuro help Gaara in rescuing her. Temari was then forced to fight another woman with similar abilities. Temari notices that the woman's attacks begin to counter her own, and that quickly overwhelms her. When Temari is about to get killed, Shikamaru comes to the rescue, but the two begin bickering. In the end, they both combine attacks that defeat their opponent.

Basicly, Temaris a girl who's not afraid to speak in sticky situations, and is the perfect oponent for most people.
