I'm COLOMBIAN.. Paola is one of the best actresses back home I now live in Canada and I'm happy to see her succeed on American television, By the way the name of the country is COLOMBIA not COLUMBIA; and even if she was born in USA or Colombia, she is our pride.

Paola Turbay was born in Houston, Texas-- like I said before. She's still Colombian. Her parents are Colombian, she was raised there, she was Miss Colombia, she became famous in Colombia.

By the way--
it's true... Nestor Carbonell is Cuban.
Jimmy Smits is of puerto rican and surinamian descent.
Paola Turbay is Colombian.
Hector Elizondo and Rita Moreno are Cuban.
I enjoyed the pilot-- I'll be watching next Tuesday.

Hector Elizondo and Rita Moreno ARE NOT CUBAN... SORRY... They are PUERTO RICAN.

*A second-generation American, Smits is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and traces his roots to Puerto Rico and Surinam.
* Moreno was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and moved to New York at the age of five.
* Hector Elizondo is from NYC. His father was Martin Echevarria Elizondo, a Basque who was born at sea on a cargo ship sailing from Spain to Puerto Rico, and his mother was Carmen Medina from Puerto Rico.
* Carbonell was born in New York City, he was raised in numerous locations, including Mexico, Venezuela, Florida, Connecticut, the Bahamas and London.
* A native of Houston, Texas, and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Turbay now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.

Ms. Turbay was born in Houston, Texas - NOT Colombia. She was raised in Colombia but is from Houston. And we are desperately trying to get her back - kind of a desperate 'hunka hunka burning love' kind of thing.
