Almost exactly a year from its originally intended airdate, the episode called “The Player Under Pressure” finally airs on Bones tonight. This installment was actually scheduled for broadcast April 18 last year but had to be shelved temporarily in light of the story's similarity to real life events that occurred two days earlier. On April 16, 2007, a 23-year old English major opened fire on his teachers and schoolmates at Virginia Tech. His sudden outburst of gunfire on the campus left 33 dead, including himself. It became the deadliest incident of mass shooting in the United States. To read the rest, click here.

It's not fair to discriminate against a TV show because some psycho shot some people. It doesn't look like keeping this episode off the air brought anyone back to life.

no dust420 it did not bring anyone back but it was done as a sign of respect to the families and friends affected!! Though it may be confusing becasue they kept the scene in I am glad we will be able to see it

to dust420: there was no discrimination against the show. the people behind the show themselves decided not to air so as to be sensitive to the people affected by the shooting incident. it was just a case of common courtesy.

It does sound kind of silly that they pulled the episode, even if it was a decision by the producers. At least they're finally airing it.

The only bad thing about this episode being pulled is the fact that the ONLY connection seems to be that it takes place on a college campus. It's not like Buffy, where the episode is about a school shooting or anything. It was a silly move done because the show doesn't think America is smart enough to differentiate the two, and sadly, the show is probably right. Even worse: because of Gossip Girl, Big Bang Theory and HIMYM, I won't be able to watch Bones tonight.

It's not a big deal that the episode is now out of sync with the show's storyline/ timeline; just think of it as a Repeat of an episode that you missed the first time around.

Oh indeed, I have every intention of catching this episode online. Bones' "How did this boy get into college?" line cracks me up every time. Speaking of: is it just me, or is FOX doing a much better job promoting this show than they used to be. I'm seeing ads nearly every commercial break on Idol.
