Big Brother 9 began the season with a faulty premise, and I'm not sure it ever recovered. Part of the base attraction of Big Brother is the individual-within-a-group dynamic, as each player only looks out for themselves while attempting to make it seem like they're not. With the couples twist at the beginning of Big Brother 9, the inherent selfishness of Big Brother was diffused; instead of fending for only themselves, players had to worry about and deal with a total stranger. How was this a) fair, or b) better than the usual royal rumble of Big Brother? The experiment was understandable – CBS wanted to change things up, bring some excitement to the first ever winter edition of Big Brother. How they went about this was, unfortunately, completely misguided. To read the rest, click here.

To reconstruct BB10? ummm... 1) replace Allison Grodner. 2) Make BB10 about having Integrity instead of not having it

I think to make BB10 much more interesting, get a WAAAAAAAAAAY better cast! No couples twist, but I did love the idea of having Secret Partners. That twist was extremely good.

If the couples would have known each other, like husband/wife or girlfriend/boyfriend, I think it would have worked. If you're put into a position that would require both people to think as one; the premise would possibly work. I don't care either way, I love Big Brother and can't wait to see the next installment.

Honestly, this was the worst Big Brother ever. Once James was evicted the entire show was over. It was almost painful watching such boring players remain in the house and draaaaaaaag the show out. I'm all for twists, I don't mind a couple complicated "previous" relationships between players. But I agree with Oscar: strong players paired with weak players just sabotages the entire show, as all the strong (aka most interesting) players leave way too early.

I was a new watcher last season...and loved it! This "add-water-instant-timeslot show" was really painful to watch most of the time. I don't know if it's been done before, so please don't flip out on me if it has, but I think it would be interesting to have a secret pair. The only way the person could win $500,000 is if their partner was in the final 2 with them and they couldn't reveal the twist to anyone.

Why not let the public "evict" the houseguests like it is done in the U.K.? ************** I understand that they have to find people willing to give up their lives for three months, but can't they find houseguests with more personality than a saltine cracker???

The real question to ask is .. what will you watch once BB is canceled after season 10. With being up against the Olympics most of August, Allison still at the helm and ratings continuing to fall (BB9 ratings were extremely bad) this show will be taken out of it's misery. CBS is already expecting to cancel this show after this upcoming season because of the ratings, advertisers pulling out of the show etc. If Endermol was smart they would FIRE Allison NOW and at least try to save the show before it's wayyyy to late.

They started BB6 with the concept of 'secret' partners. The hg's knew they had a partner, but thought they were the only ones. That didn't last very long as the hg's began to put partners together. This cast was awful. Supposedly for BB10 the cast will be more diverse. Let's hope so. And let's cut the twists. Let's just have 14-16 total strangers go into the house and play the game. I personally don't want the public to vote to evict. It'll end up like BB1 when the public evicted all the interesting (read different) houseguests first. And just look at some of the other shows that let the public vote, like AI. And you see what happens there. No thank you. I'd like to see the diary rooms on the feeds. I wanna see 'Big Brother' screw with them and manipulate them. I don't want the people in the diary room to become buds with them, as has been the case at least the last few seasons.
