I generally assume that all reality TV contestants are disingenuous.  It's usually the safe assumption.  The tears we see on TV are always somewhat contrived.  That's just the nature of reality television.  Having a camera in front of you, taping your every move, is going to alter behavior.  And, most of the time, when someone cries or has an emotional breakdown I'm a bit cynical.  There's a lot of playing for face time in front of the camera.  However, for some reason on this season of Big Brother, I'm not really getting that vibe.  Perhaps it's the non-intrusive cameras they use, or maybe it's just this batch of house guests, but I actually buy the tears of James and Adam.  Tonight saw another flood of Big Brother tears, as well as the most surprising development of the season.

This is turning into an incredibly predictable waste of viewing time. Why won't CBS let us call in to vote some of these people off and some of the interesting ones BACK on?

Who, besides Josh, would you like to have in the house?

I'm guessing most of the tears are actually probably real. - these are people for who this is the highlight of their life and they may see it slipping away. But they are ALWAYS aware that there are camera on them and they know nothing will guarantee camera time than a good cry fest or screaming match.

I agree that they're always aware of being on camera...that doesnt mean they aren't for real.

Oscar, I agree that James was lucky not being nominated, but did you hear Adam's comment during the nomination ceremony? He told his alliance that if they wanted James gone then they had to fight hard to win the POV. That means when Ryan pulls Sheila off the block James -will- replace her, thus securing his eviction on Wednesday. I still maintain that if Adam truly wanted to shake things up he would have nominated two people from his own alliance, since they feel he betrayed them anyway, and then initiate a final three alliance with James and Sharon.

So, Team Christ really messed the last three HOH's. They never should have put James on the block either of the last two nominations. They have missed their chance to backdoor him (again). There was a 2/8 chance he wouldn't have been able to participate in the veto two weeks ago and then he could have been backdoored (again) and last week there was a 1/7 chance he wouldn't have been able to participate. Then the backdoor scenario would be viable again. But, James is a winner. He seems to be Veto King, Now that there are 6 HG's left, he automatically gets to participate in Veto and now he has a chance to win Veto again and keep the noms the same. The blew it and James the pink haired idiot might actually win this thing. I can only hope not!!!

Relax "mdjorda71," Ryan won the POV, which means there is an excellent chance that James will be back-doored this week.

I have to agree with you. I have a feeling that should Adam's "alliance" get a chance his butt will be on the block next week. I think it's funny that poor sheila was boohooing when she got the nom but all she could do was say "boofreakinhoo" when someone else was nom. POT meet KETTLE! I wish she would go!!
