Tex's Take: BB8 Finale Thoughts

I'm not surprised that Dick won Big Brother 8, or even the vote. After listening to them discuss the jury questioning, I pretty much figured out the winner. I was looking forward to this show only for the America's Player reveal and to see the jury. In that, I guess I was a little disappointed. They wasted 20 minutes on nothing, and the reveal felt rushed.

I wanted to hear other's view on it. Amber was either pissed off or wanted to cry. I wanted to know which it was. And I didn't like that they let Jen think that America hated her. They disliked her from the start and made sure the editing and then tonight's show showed it. The only good part was that it took some of the wind out of Dick's sails. He was so convinced, and let everyone know it, that it was all his gameplay that got him over.

I wish you wrote more articles for BuddyTV, Ladytex. Apparently, we both agree that the Donatos suck, and Jen was treated pretty unfairly throughout the show.

Ladytex has it right. I wish more time was spent with the jury. The most entertaining part of tonight was watching Dani play the part of the upbeat, gracious daughter! HILARIOUS! And AWWWKWARRDD! Dick better sleep with one eye open. She's likely to stab him in the eye with one of her bony elbows and take off to Mexico with the $$!

I thought this whole episode sucked~I don't like either one of the last two contestants...Dick and Danielle. I couldn't stand Jen and her outright bawling from the first moment of the show! And as far as next season, I think I will tune out~

Am I the only one that thinks the Donatos' deserved the win?! Be serious people....Jen was a hateful, self-centered, ego maniac. America DIDN'T LIKE HER!! Everyone LIED in this game!!! EVERYONE!! Dick was probably the most honest out of all of them! RUDE...but honest! Amber...well, she wants to discuss Danielle's MORALS!?? Give me a break! I agree that there should have been more 'revealing' last night. Reveal that if D&D hadn't gotten to Jessica & Eric first...they would have gotten to them!! OUT WIT, OUT LAST, OUT PLAY..I still say...Donato's deserved to win! Hope Dick shares his winnings with his daughter! GAME OVER!!

I agree with the comment from Missouri. The Donatos did deserve to win. They outplayed everyone. There couldn't have been a better Final 2. But, once again, Loved BB and can't wait for next season.....

Some of America actually DID like Jen. There was just so much time spent bashing her, that it became the opinion of other sheep as well. I thought Jen did amazingly well (minus the crying jag over the picture) and held her own with much grace and dignity, and after being absued for so long, I was amazed she lasted as long as she did without doing something to Dick. How long do you think YOU could handle being abused that way by a grown man day after day? I would have snapped and smacked him for sure. As usual, I disliked all the players yet again this year, and I still watched. However, I do beleive CBS should follow it's own rules (Daniele being under 21 when the rules very clearly state you MUST be 21 irked me) and I hope next year to see less manipulation on CBS's part.

I don't like Dick, but I'm sooo glad Daniele didn't win. At least Dick did some strategy and not just depend on competitions.
That being said, I wish it was someone else who won.. even Jen. lol.

Can someone please tell me why or what footage ever showed Jen being so self centered, I see a girl who likes the way she looks (and she has good reason) and for the most part took an incredible amount of crap from Dick and at one point Nick. I have the utmost respect for her. Any other woman on the show would have broken (maybe not Jameka) but she showed that she has thick skin. So what if she did not like her picture. She is a model.. check out her resume. The Donatos will never do much more than this, I suspect we will be seeing more of Jen.. LadyTex... I love your writing. and agree with you. What a freakin weird family the Donatos have, can you say... well I won't say it

I was a never a big fan of Jen but to say that she's more hateful and self-centered than a middle age man who dresses like a teenager...Give me a break! Dick made racist remarks, poured tea on Jen, threw temper tantrums over one nomination, and even admitted to receiving coded letters from the outside(youtube). As for him being deserving of the win, Dick have been gone week 6 if not for lame AP twist.
