Big Brother 8: Lowlights of the Season

Big Brother 8 had its share of low moments. For lots of fans out there, just the presence of Dick and Daniele throughout the season has been a lowlight. I'm not in that camp, but there are always moments and trends throughout a Big Brother season that aren't going to sit well with the audience. A couple days back we looked at the highlights of Big Brother 8, so today we'll take a gander at the lowlights. Mine will surely be different from yours, and we encourage everyone to tell us what their least favorite moments of the season were in the comments below.

Eric/Jessica couldnt turn on the Donatos for the fact Eric was aerica layer and had to do what they wanted.

Eric didn't have to keep Amber on the block if he truly didn't want too. He could have got Jessica to put up the Donatos but he would have lost that challenge and the money.

I think you nailed it. If Eric wasn't playing for "America" I believe he would have gone after Dick and Dani. He feared them coming after Jessica or America coming after Jessica!!!!

The one real disappointment I have is the editing from CBS. Most people that watch the live feeds or the you tube posting can not stand Dick and Dani. CBS cleans them up pretty well...at least as much as you can clean them up.

I have to disagree with you about Jameka praying to win the POV, HOH, or the final money. As a Christian, I pray for anything that is important to me, because I know it is just as important to Him. I don't want to preach here, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with Jameka praying. I do think it is wrong the way people have blown it out of porportion that do not have the same belief system. I have been known to pray for a close parking spot, so I know I would have been praying just as Jameka did. What I disagree with about Jameka is her cursing and her attitude that is contradictory to the beliefs she was trying to portray. (did any of that make sense?)

Yeah, that made sense. It is exactly how I feel too. Her belief in God is what gave her strength in the competitions.

Very well written commentary - excelent work ! I totally agree with all your thoughts -- I especially was shocked with her anti semitic comments - but you make a valid point ...perhaps I could summarize as "if you cast morons, then morons will say moronic things" .... that being said even morons have to account for their actions..so I am sure she will get a good verbal lashing when she retreats from BB8 shortly.

BB8 also must take an award for the most references to god on a prime time show - not even Highway to Heaven and good ole Michael Landon could aspire to such highlights ( okay, he was jewish ..but anyway.. )....

I never knew that god took such interest in reality shows. One might hope that he is too busy to concern himself with POV competitions...one would hope..

I guess I don't understand..Dick said some of the most vile and disgusting things regarding religion, homosexuality and so on..but for some reason he gets a free card on that because he claims its "strategy". Yet Amber, who is so ovbiously unstable and uneducated makes some comments (which I do not agree with don't get me wrong) and everyone is so up in arms over her..I don't get it! Why reward one person for it and tear apart another person??

I also don't think religion would have been as big an issue in the house if it wasn't for Dick using it as ammunition, I'm an atheist and I felt bad for how they portrayed Jameka with that stupid organ music all the time.

I don't think Dick's rants were all 'strategy'. The games over, the only 2 left in the house are Dick and Dani and he is still talking trash and using vulgar terms regarding the other houseguests.

Eric wouldn't have had the guts to get rid of the Donatos, and I don't think the other houseguests will be happy to learn that he earned $50,000 as America's player--the same amount for one of the final 2 winners, (plus Eric was a pretty poor competitive player in all the games and would never have had the power to put up the Donato's for eviction). D&D played an excellent game--Danielle matched Janelle's 7 wins (Janelle should have been the winner of the other BB). There were not that many strong competitors on this BB, and too many players that flew under the radar who should have been evicted much earlier than they were.
