Jamie Bamber, Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell.jpg" />If there's one thing that can be annoying about watching cable television, it's the way the networks play around with their schedules.  The main broadcasters reliably roll out new episodes of their shows in the fall or at midseason, but with cable, anything goes.  Seasons can be delayed for months, years, or in the case of Battlestar Galactica, broken in half for an unnecessary midseason hiatus.  Just as we've settled comfortably back into the BSG universe, the show will disappear from the Sci Fi Channel after only three more episodes.  Despite the fact that the network has about ten more installments in the can, we may have to wait until 2009 to see them.  I'd rather arm wrestle a Cylon Centurion than endure such a long, torturous hiatus.

It's been said long before they started filming this season that SCIfi would wait for 2009 to finish out Battlestar. My guess is that they want to sell more advertisements and since this is honestly the only viable show that they have, what else would they do?

Don, I read the first paragraph of this article and i was thinking, Wow, for the first time in like a month, Oscar or John wrote an article that is well written, gets to the point, and has a non retarded opinion... So i scrolled down and read the author... Don Williams. LOL, I should've known. You need to do 3 things Don: 1. Write MUCH more for this site. 2. Give Oscar and John some writing lessons. 3. Keep being awesome. Great article.

I hope when they come back on 2009 that we get less of Baltar's religion and more with they Cylon's.

I knew they were going to do this as well. It was stated before this season aired. It is not that bad since we had to wait a year for this one to air. Hopefully there will be less Baltar and more on the Cylon's and how they can have an alliance with the humans.

This was all part of SciFi's big plan. Why order two seasons, when you can order one and divide it into two seasons? My guess is that Ron Moore threatened them by saying if they didn't guarantee two more seasons, he would finish it in one. He has often said that, if there was a chance that the show would not get renewed, that he would finish the story, as he didn't want to leave the fans hanging. SciFi said "Great! Thanks for saving us the money! We'll just order one season then. Thanks Ron!" It was like buy one, get one free. I am praying that the BSG movie deal works out. So say we all!
