If you're a fan of Battlestar Galactica and CSI:, prepare to be disappointed.  Really, super-duper disappointed.  TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Katee Sackhoff (who plays Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica, but you already knew that) was tantalizingly close to joining the cast of CSI as Jorja Fox's kinda, sorta replacement.  The new character, named Bryce Adams, was set to be a series regular.  Executive producers and show runners were all jacked up and ready to welcome Sackhoff to the CSI family.  They basically thought it was a done deal, according to Ausiello.  However, at the last minute, executives from CBS and Jerry Bruckheimer's production company got cold feet.  They didn't feel Katee was right for the role, apparently, and now the search for Bryce Adams has been re-opened.

Frak CSI. Their loss will be someone else's gain. The Powers That Be at BSG reportedly didn't think Katee was experienced enough or something for the role of Starbuck and look how that turned out. This is a horrible decision by CBS. I know it would've got me interested in CSI again to see such a fresh new character.

CBS should have created the character around Katee, how stupid can they be? Frak them.

First off Oscar, you totally need to jump on the BSG train. I don't normally watch CSI, but I guarantee I would have given it a shot had Katee Sackhoff been cast. However, she's so amazing that I think she can find something better.

I agree Katee is a great actress and I love her in BSG. Starbuck as a woman was new and look how great she made that character. She was also in Bionic Woman and I loved her in it. Too bad she was only in a couple of episodes since it bombed as soon as she wasn't in it anymore. I would love to see Katee in different types of roles, she definitely deserves more than being snubbed at by CBS. And TV guide just announced she was the sexist woman on TV. Their lost our gain.
Tricia on Burn Notice, I will be looking to see her on it. I loved her in Supernatural. She is also a great actress. Hope she gets to do more roles s well.

well i 'm glad they didn't take her. she is not an actor that deserves to be on a "formula" tv show. it would be very repetitive and quite frankly totaly beneath her. it would be nice for her to get some attention but i'm sure she'll do something else that's much more interesting. joss i'm looking at you, she could be a doll in the dollhouse right???

I wish the execs of CSI would get in touch with what fans want, casting new faces is NOT one of them.
