| While season 4 of Battlestar Galactica is just getting started for viewers, it's nearly completely wrapped up behind-the-scenes. There will probably be a lot of news in the coming months about the cast and crew taking on new projects. One person who won't be leaving the sci-fi genre anytime soon is BSG mastermind and executive producer Ronald D. Moore. Not only is he putting together the Caprica prequel movie for the Sci Fi Channel, but he's also signed on to write the pilot for the new FOX series Virtuality. The pilot, about the 12 crew members on Earth's first starship, will be co-written by another Battlestar Galactica vet, Michael Taylor. To read the rest, click here. |

| Sounds like they are in demand and that is always good. I hope fox wants more sci-fi and renews SCC. The new shows sound interesting. |

| Senior Member ![]() | I have trouble with this description: BSG mastermind... I mean, come on...he took a 20 year old show and fit it into a modern meat-grinder. Give some credit to the original guys who thought this all up back in the 70's. Pretty sure I could re-do Sledgehammer and get a handful of people to watch it. Probably not as popular, though ... too soon? P.S. Anyone else think the above picture looks a little TOO MUCH like Rowdy Roddy Piper in They Live? |

| If you read the details, it's almost a direct rip off of STAR TREK:NG, but a more primitive version. Someone else actually penned the source material, keeping in traditional of Moore not having an original bone in his body. FOX isn't some backwater cable station that keeps under-performing, badly written garbage like GINO and ANDROMEDA on the air for years, so look to see this show canceled soon. Moore's made a lot of anti-fans, during his GINO tenure, so there's a whole batch of science fictions fans that won't be watching. |

| I'm not surprised it sounds like TNG. He amped up BSG, so naturally he would want to take a shot at another golden goose. Now for the record- as I was old enough-to recall the original BSG. IT WAS NOT THAT GOOD! Some of the original stories were major league dogs. BSG(new) is way better, has not had a single e[isode I did not find gripping. I will be more than happy to watch the new show. (As I'm sure will Paramounts Intellicual property attornys-who will all be sharpening their knives and skimming John Grisham novels for advice.) |

...taking into acouunt the 69% drop in viewership of GINO, since the miniseries debut, most people do not agree with you. Call me when you have 29-65 million weekly viewers. | |

| ratings don't determine how well made a series is. American Idol has huge ratings and that is one of the worst shows ever. Even with bad ratings New Battlestar managed to stay on the air 3 years longer than the old BSG. Those ratings you like to post don't even take into account ratings from other countries and how sci fi makes money by selling the shows rights to other countries for them to air. |
