There aren't many shows on the air that are devoid of complicated love triangles and relationship dramas, even when those shows are set in the cold depths of space. In the third season of Battlestar Galactica, the emotional tension and romantic entanglements really ratcheted up to epic proportions. Throughout the first two seasons of the Sci Fi Channel series, it became quite obvious that Lee "Apollo" Adama and Kara "Starbuck" Thrace were madly in love with each other, even if they had trouble admitting it. Their refusal to admit to their feelings eventually led Apollo to marry Lt. Dualla (Kandyse McClure), while Starbuck got hitched to Sam Anders. This, of course, led to both of them cheating on their spouses and eventually beating each other to a bloody pulp. Where should this crazy mess of a romance go when Battlestar Galactica returns for a fourth season? To read the rest, click here.

Sackhoff admits ex-LIFETIME Hammer has turned GINO into a soap opera From Zap2it.com Katee Sackhoff on Moore's UNauthorized BSG: "And then Starbuck finds another man," says Sackhoff. "Like, what is that? I called [the show] a soap opera in an interview. They're mad at me. ]It is a soap opera; she's sleeping with every goddamn guy on the show. Is that not a soap opera? I'm sorry. And she loves every one of them. I mean, like, obviously it's a soap opera." http://www.zap2it.com/tv/news/zap-ka...v-mainheadline Bonnie Hammer Biography Bonnie Hammer was named to the position of President, SCI FI Channel in April 2001. [...when SciFi Channel starting broadcasting all the b-grade original big monster movies and other crap programming. Coincidence]? During her tenure in programming, she was responsible for a number of aspects of USA Networks’ programming, including the development, production and supervision of original fiction, reality-based series and specials. [We have her to thank for rubbish as SCARE TACTICS]. Prior to joining Universal Television, Hammer was a programming executive at Lifetime Television Network, [...well, well, well... What a friggin' surprise]!!! http://corpinfo.universalstudios.com...Bio=34&sheet=1 ________________________ One look at this resume, and it's no wonder why Galactica In Name Only seems like it was produced for the LIFETIME CHANNEL!

Yeah, in my view, it's obvious that Starbuck is a part of something a whole lot bigger than just her life, and as is always the case in these types of tales, iher greater purpose in life will always prevent her from having a normal, meaningful relationship with anyone. Lee should go back to Dualla. Anyone willing to put up with Fat Lee is the kind of woman you stick with.

Even though Lee and Kara may still love each other, they have to figure out what they want and if they want to divorce their spouses or stay married. Kara has some mystery to her so it might not be so simple to start all over again.

Lee and Starbuck have to end the series together. While BSG is about so much more than their romance-it has become a huge and integral part over the seasons. Watching the show as a marathon this past week really brought out how much those two characters are truly connected-even when they are horrible to each other. There are no other two characters on TV right now that make up such a fascinating, dramatic, deep, and serious love. I would be very disappointed in the writers and creators if they wrote those 2's story with an unfinished or separate ending. They may never be truly happy-who is in real life? But they do belong only to each other.

Um... maybe AS THE GALACTICA TURNS would be a more fitting title for this craptacular show. Gee, thanks, Ronald Moore for dragging the worst elements of television (soap opera garbage, constant backstabbing to create contrived conflict between characters, etc) into a once respected genre. Can he tarnish the BSG tv show that Glen Larson created in 1978 anymore? I guess that's why the '78 show had 29-60 million weekly viewers and Moore's imposter BSG has less than 2 million w/ a 66% ratings drop.
