Thats right. The reason it was only four in the fleet is because the fifth(Laura Roslin) was allready on the base star. If anything, that was just more confirmation. At that point, given her demand, the fifth almost certainly had to be on the base star which cut the selection down to Gaius, Adama, and Roslin... and they let Adama go.

Now remember the tag line for this season.

One Will Be Revealed.

They've done just that. They just wrote it in a way that they told you straight up... but in a way that few people would believe it. Look very carefully at D'Anna's next line after she told Roslin she was the fifth. She in no way clarified that she *wasn't* one of the final five. She simply changed the subject back to the releasing of names and that she wouldn't.

Really.. its a nifty bit of writing. The only person being 'fooled' or 'faked out' here is the viewer.
