The Bachelor 12: Finale Recap

On tonight’s season finale of The Bachelor, Matt brought Shayne and Chelsea home to London to meet his family. Chelsea was up first and took a trip with Matt in The London Eye, an observation wheel, before heading home with him. At dinner, she was polite and charming and Matt’s mother seemed to like her very much. Matt was worried that Chelsea doesn’t feel as strongly as he did but felt better after seeing her with his family. Chelsea left London feeling like things could not have gone better and looked forward to seeing him again in Barbados.

Shayne has 1,000 times more class than Chelsea. Upon first glance, stereotype of the blonde bombshell causes people to think Shayne is fake, but she and Matt even discussed that -- it's a ploy. She loves "playing" the sex kitten, which is FUN for Matt. During the show you could see how she interacted with the other ladies and I think she showed real care and concern. She will be a great wife and a wonderful mother.

Chelsea showed her lack of class by telling Matt that he chose the "most fakeist (is that even a word? NO) girl there. What did that get her? It only made Matt more certain that he had made the right choice. After she made that comment you could see the shift in his attitude from being sorry he had to send her home to couldn't get rid of her quick enough. What a !@#!@!

I'm surprising myself by saying this, but I really do think he picked the right woman. Like LindaHall2 said, at the house with the other girls, Shane displayed maturity that most of the others didn't have. For instance, when she stepped in to try and break up the "most dramatic fight ever" with Marshana or whatever the show called it. She just also happens to be blonde, pretty and can play the "sex kitten" role very well. But if you look at their relationship (hers and Matt's) it's had it's ups and downs, but they still managed to pull through. Sure, it'll probably fail like most of the Bachelor relationships do, but this one, I feel, has a better chance of succeeding then if he had chosen Chelsea.

I agree with lindahall2. Chelsea didn't have to say that about Shayne at the end. But I'm sure she was hurt and angry that he didn't pick her. I think Shayne will be a great partner for him and I liked her all along. There were times I thought he wouldn't pick her because she's so clingy and wraps her legs around him every chance she gets but he seemed to like that and called her "monkey".

I was thrilled he picked Shayne. Don't they make a "smashing" couple? I love how in his proposal speech, he said how they had alot of monkey...lol....its too cute...they just look amazing together.....I would have to say this was my favorite Bechelor proposal of all time.....I really hope they stay togther....
Does anyone know when that conference call is supposed to be????

Shayne was by far the best choice for Matt. All the clips of them together throughout the season was so cute. I lost respect for Chelsea after Matt had that one on one date with her and after not even going near him during the day, the same night she put on a negligee and took off her "panties" ...talk about someone who only wanted to win for the sake of winning!
