The Bachelor: Episode 12.6 Live Thoughts

Six episodes in and it's already time for hometown dates on The Bachelor. I always love this episode because The Bachelor's visit to at least one family's house is always a train wreck. As if meeting someone's family for the first time isn't awkward enough, Matt has to do it in front of all of America. Ooh, and he'll meet Lorenzo Lamas tonight. Sexy! Matt hits the hometowns of Amanda, Chelsea, Noelle, and Shayne. As I write this, a commercial just came on during Samantha Who and someone's mother kisses him right on the lips. I literally laughed out loud. God, I love the hometown dates episode! I'm settling down and will be here all hour with live updates. Keep refreshing and post your thoughts, too!

Tonight was actually pretty good. I totally missed Chelsea's visit, but that's ok - I don't really care for her much. Amanda's prank was HILARIOUS, can't believe she did that! I feel bad for Noelle, cause I really liked her. Anyone else think it'll be a Shayne/Amanda final two?

I totally agree with you Ieleana, it'll be a Shayne/Amanda showdown! I was so hoping Noelle would have factored in, so I'm semi-crushed. The only reason he chose Chelsea, who seems like she's got a connecting-with-other-people disorder, is because he saw her boobs in that saloon girl get up. You're a loser, Matt. Amanda was funny, but now I think she's kinda tweaked, like she also thinks serial killers are funny. Both of Shayne's parents made my face hurt.

Does anyone else still get the feeling that Shayne just wants to be on tv? Her own FATHER said it! That was so awkward!!!

Yup, I totally see a Shayne/Amanda final two. I get kind of tired of people saying that Shayne is and actress and therefore her feeling can't be real. As an ex theater major and friend to many many actors, I can tell you that, if anything, they feel things more strongly than other people and are therefore driven to get those feeling out. Matt is hot, funny, kind, tall and caring, why wouldn't she care for him?
