| Im going to bring up the age old question again. Who are Adam and Eve? I think the popular consesus is they are Jack and Kate. I can think of two very convincing arguments for either side, so i want to hear what you guys think. Jack & Kate ARE Adam & Eve There have been so many clues in the dialogue for this claim it's staggering. First we have the comment from Kate and ep or two ago where she says to Jack: "I've always been with you" indicating they new each other before they even met on the island because they are, in fact Adam an Eve. There are also some others from very early in the series. I was watching Lost replays on the scifi channel tonight and i saw the ep 'House of the rising Sun' where they find Adam & Eve. Anyway there where two quotes that stood out to me among everything else
Jack & Kate ARE NOT Adam & Eve The Black and White stones commit the party foul here because if Jack is in fact Adam, then that would mean the stones have no point of origin, making them a paradox. If Jack finds them on himself then that means that the stones travel in a loop with no real starting point. Darlton has said before that they would be avioding paradox's at all costs so if theyre sticking to their word, this cannot happen. |

| The Stone Paradox. Perhaps it is looking at it as a Paradox that is causing the problem. Your assumption that the Stones lack a Point of Origin are valid only if the loop has been an ongoing event. For all we know this was in fact the very first time Jack pocketed the Stones. That the point of origin happened in the past of the person lying dead in the cave. That our Jack, through some amazing and yet unexplainable events happened on a decomposing body of himself, in a cave at some moment in time that is in fact the first moment it has happened. Because we have not seen what would have been Adam's past life. We are unable to confirm that a Paradox actually begins the moment Jack pockets the stones. And how the stones were acquired the very first time. I for one am not convinced our cave bodies are in fact Jack and Kate. Though like everyone I am willing to entertain the notion, especially in light of the clues. But this Island has a strange way of doing business... it could be anyone, from anytime, from anyplace. That and for all the flash forwards, not once have I seen Jack take out his little pouch and dump the stones into his hand and wish to go back to the island.. Something, if I was a writer, I would have introduced simpye to maintain a continuity with the island and past events and as a dramatic element, Jack's last remaining connection to the island, the Stones... how perfect that would have been while he was completely wasted, standing on a bridge railing.. And though I am not convinced its them... I would not be surprised to find out it is.. only disappointed... |

| At this point I'm going to base my guess of a gut feeling. I think Adam is Faraday and Eve is Charlotte. Yes Charlotte is dead, but what is dead? |

| Word, LOL.. I would cast my vote on Locke and Ben, but I don't know how the ol' Adam and Steve debate would fare here |

| Senior Member | hahahaha, I hope it is Ben and a chick. For some reason a thought struck me last night: If Annie didn't live through the Purge, or if she left the Island before it happened, then I would bet 1000000% that Ben Linus is a virgin. Haha I am way too involved in this show. |

| I'm going with Jack & Kate, and Bernard/Rose as a close second. I don't think Rose would leave the island if she had the chance. Bernard has commented on Backgammon before. IMO there's a strong connection to the backgammon games Locke/Walt/Hurley played in past episodes and the black/white stones.

| Bernard and Rose is a GREAT suggestion... they didn't join Sawyer, Jin & them at the Dharma HQ... It makes sense that they would make a home for themselves in the caves... very interesting!!!! |

| My money's also on Rose and Bernard, but Jack would fit with the paradox theme that's been running through for a few series now- Locke slash Richard's compass and Daniel's machine settings both spring to mind as being rather large paradoxes. |
