Yeah, I started a post that said Aaron is Jacob (actually, that's all it said) but nobody wanted in.

how would Aaron know Alpert?
Tonight we saw Alpert in the 50's, and he knew who Jacob was then. It was clear when Locke said "Jacob sent me" that Alpert knew who he was. If Aaron wasn't born for another 50 years how would Alpert and him know each other?

I think you're forgetting the fact that we're dealing with time travel here! Locke wasn't born for another 3 years before that moment, yet he was talking to Alpert! Don't rule it out because he wasn't born!! Aaron could grow up, go to the island and then somehow travel back in time.

My Bjork CD just started randomly playing when I saw it ... touched me. There are so many disconnected canon clues that may connect relative to specific points on our space-time continuum, particularly "unstuck" consciousness/psyches, such as common Locke/Ben elements: Mom Emily, born prematurely in 2nd trimester [Island Pregnants die b4 trimester], visited by Richard Alpert, chosen Other Leader, major medical conditions and more. Also, the leaking 1954 hydrogen bomb a, Jughead, and it's potential to emit intense radiation knowing physicist Daniel Faraday said it can cause consciousness/psyches to become unstuck portends possible storylines.

So Aaron was around before Richard? Because Richards been taking orders from Jacob forever. Your saying that Aaron goes back to the island and grows up to become Jacob.

Then how was Richard getting orders from him 50 or more years before he was born?

Can someone say paradox?

what if jacob is not one person, I mean how do we know for a fact that jacob is a single person? what if jacob stands for a group of people?

J - john, jack
A - alvar, arron, abbadon
C - chrisitain, charlie, cooper,
O - omar,
B - ben,

etc...

or perhaps the others in the past buried the jug-head bomb like faraday suggested. And the radiation from the bomb is mixing with the energies of the island. As a result a small area around jug-head may very special and this is where Jacobs cabin appears, and other supernatural events, because the area was unstuck from time before ben turned the wheel. Maybe it's like a magnet for the "ghosts" that miles speaks to??
