| This episode just made the series so much more complicated. Obviously there is a war going on between Benjamin Linus and Charles Widmore, it seems that Widmore may have been associated with the Dharma Initiative. This episode introduced discussion about "the rules", which Widmore changed by killing Linus' daughter. Linus has some kind of control over the black smoke. Some questions: When Linus went through the mysterious, runed door in the basement of the house, did he time travel and end up in the Middle East? Did anyone actually translate the morse code? Who caught the reference to Kerouac's "On The Road" in Linus' pseudonym "Dean Moriarty? Where is the show going from here, was the crash of Oceanic 815 a strategic move in the war between Linus and Widmore? Let's hear it! post scriptum - Dean Moriarty was the vagabond friend and hero of Sal Paradise, narrator in "On The Road". He never could seem to find a place to settle, in and out of jail, driving from the east coast to the west coast, up and down the east coast, and back again. Anyone see any parallels with Ben? |
