|  Okay..I agree with a lot of folks here. Locke definitely is the best character on LOST and Terry O'Quinn is one of the best actors I think I've ever seen. He's really good in every role he has had, very understated, with very expressive eyes and facial features, masculine, sexy and makes a good looking bald guy. I LOVE his character John Locke but fear where the writers will take him next. Please keep him as the know-it-all philosopher/hunter he truly is, and please do away with the pathetic nature of this character. It truly does not suit him. I understand why he would not kill his fahter, maybe it's his buddha nature I'm hoping, and not that Locke is being written as a pathetic loser. Please heed my call, you LOST creators! Please! |

| Locke was actually one of two characters (Michael being the other) who were written for their actors without auditions, "sight unseen" as it were. Locke is the center of Lost, no question about it. There's some interesting info on the wikipedia profile of the John Locke character that lends insight to the direction of the show in general, and to the character specifically. No question; without John Locke, Lost is nothing. Great acting by Terry O'Quinn...I absolutely LOVE those 180 degree panning shots of him with his stoic, studious expression when they're on the beach..there's one in season one and one more in season two. Awesome stuff. |

| Terry, Terry, Terry...congratulations to him indeed for his Emmy win...it's about time the voters got it right! He deserves the award for being so skilled in his acting craft, so kudos! Looking forward to Lost, but still afraid that they'll make Locke even darker. I love those close-up camera shots, too and that honestly is one of the reasons that O'Quinn is such a great actor..it's all written on his expressive face and in his expressive eyes. I think he's just fascinating to watch. Cannot wait until January when the new season begins! |
