NEW rule about Signatures starts TODAY

It's no surprise to anyone here that we have a problem with spam. It's cluttering up the forums and making it far less enjoyable. Well, BuddyTV has decided to make a new rule in an attempt to get things under control.

Starting today users are no longer allowed to put links in their signatures that direct users to a site that is selling something. (These links are not allowed anywhere on the site actually) A good example of this is links to DVD sites. So, if this is you, you need to remove it before making another post.

Links that we do allow are personal links to your facebook account, myspace, blog, or other fan sites. Or links to articles relating to TV shows. We want you to be able to connect with other users and share information.

If a moderator sees a post with an inappropriate signature link you will receive a PM asking you to remove it from all future posts. After that warning, if you choose to post again without removing it you will be permanently banned from the site without further notice.

Awesome rule

I was getting tired of ppl who came and made few lame comments and were here only for selling dvds

BTW, Calena it's kind of sad, but what is that little thingie in your signature... hmmm.... isn't that link?

You know what's funny. I know it for some time now, but it wasn't me who gave you the link. I just enjoy to see my nickname everywhere,lol but Im pretty sure that the link is from Tanya or luckyme
