Last month, Whitney Thompson became America’s Next Top Model’s first full figured model to win the show. She began her modeling career at age 15 in Florida but was never able to find commercial success because of her size. Whitney had her ups and downs throughout the season but always prevailed, in even her darkest moments. Up against Anya, a consistently strong model, in the final two, it was Whitney who became the last woman standing. She is featured in the July issue of Seventeen magazine and is preparing to kick her career into gear. As a plus size model, how will Whitney fare in the harsh world of fashion? Let’s take a look.

I'd love to see Whitney go on and do something with her career beyond what we see most Top Models accomplishing.

I don't dislike Whitney, but I do wish she'd shown a better personality during her season. I found myself not really rooting for her because she seemed kind of fake at times and a little catty. Her win felt more like Tyra being message-y instead of something totally deserved. But hey, if she can work it in the mainstream modeling world, more power to her!

I hope after all these guest appearances she doesn't disappear. I actually saw CNTM in a clip from a runway show the other day so I guess just because we don't see doesn't mean they aren't out there. So many venues...
