America's Next Top Model:Episode 10.10 Best and Worst Performances

This week, the modelettes of cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model arrived in Rome, Italy. In addition to the indignity of toppling off of buses and Segway scooters, they also had the always cringe-inducing task of learning aa Cover Girl commercial in Italian. Since we didn't have a photo shoot this week, instead of the usual close perusal of the pics, we'll evaluate the girls' performances in the commercial.

This task is challenging on several levels. For one, making the leap from modeling to talking and acting for a moving picture can be a big one. I also think that Cover Girl commercials are especially tricky, because you have to, as Tyra Banks said, be willing to be corny, but if you go too over the top with that easy, breezy thing...well, you're Whitney.

a really like that show but a lot of times i wonder wat the hell some of the girls are doing there. some of them have no style and can't do anything with a little fun and enjoy it. You can see some of them don't want to be there and others who was waiting for a chang for that so give those who want it badly and stop wasting time with the wanterbees
The commercial last nite was a terrible don't know what any of them was doing

I'm italian and it was ssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun to watch Dominique try to talk. Anya was kinda bad. Fatima and Katarzyna were pretty good also with the italian. Whitney was a bit fake, but i Lauren's commercial looked BAD and all the words weren't italian anymore

I'm italian too and I live in Rome...it's funny listen dominique and anya speak a very very very strange italian hehehe!I have to say that katarzyna did very well, i'm impressed!I'm sad that lauren left the competition!she's awesome!

HA! HA! Leslie - I wish I could hug you for your dead on comments about La Tyra! She really is believing the hype in her own head, which is obnoxious. She is Soooooooo Overblown, I can't stand her - somebody stick a pin in her, Please. Thank you for summing her up perfectly. Totally agree with AIAddict!

dominque had fun wit it and she so drag i luv her commerial i laughed
anya she try her best wit her accent
laren i lord she was so nerous il give her 3nd chance
i think whitney should went home she so wateva she such such miss beauty queen she not

Tyra must have forgotten to take her Prozac because she IS becoming more over-the-top and "... um...fake." Impromptu accents, Eartha Kitt impressions, wigs, aye- yi-yi! Tyra obviously wants to get rid of Katarzyna because she isn't her little pet project. Kat DID do the best job. We all know that--except Tyra, apparently. Fatima, ho-hum. Oh gawd weird Anya--not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Nuff said. Dom should have been in the B2 with Lauren. Hope she's next, then Anya. Okay, so this week wasn't Whitney's, but I don't think she was fake, just a little over-the-top like...um...Tyra.
