America's Next Top Model: Tyra Wants Out

Often times, viewers have no idea what goes on behind the scenes of a television show. Actors can have serious problems getting along, like that of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall on Sex and The City. When two people can’t work together, the entire show is left in jeopardy. Such is the case on America’s Next Top Model. Reports are flying that Tyra Banks and (former) friend Jay Manuel are no longer speaking. In fact, things have gotten so bad that Tyra wants cycle 12 to be her last season with the show.

Basically she is upset that he no longer pretends to worship the ground she walks on, like she wants everyone to do. I can't say that I would be sad to see her go, although I'm not sure if the show would improve or get worse with her gone.

Yeah, I find the whole thing pretty shocking. Tyra is so successful - it's sad that she can't be happy for her friends when they experience a taste of it.

I love Tyra, but can't help but to think that the "Diva Complex" is affecting her. Yeah she has lots of other projects but oh well.. She needs to just remember where she came from because I think she is over dramatizing the whole thing. I love Jay Manuel and well, more power to him....

I felt an actual feeling of relief at reading this headline. It's not so much that I don't want ANTM to continue - I could watch pretty people being photographed all the livelong day - but I can't help but associate most of the more ridiculous and un-fashion-oriented nonsense of the show with Tyra. It just seems like girls live or die on ANTM by how well they fit into her bizarro world idea of obedience and deference . I would love for the show to really be focused on modeling and not on the pageant-like aspect of personality, etc.

Wow, if Tyra leaves, all I can say is good riddance! I'd say that she is the one with the diva attitude!

well every show has its end...and to have been casted for 10 cycles i mean wow....so i think that it is time for tyra to move on and antm has outlived its purpose....as sad as it is for me t o admit antm has lived its time....especially when everyone is getting the diva attitude....i love the show but it doesent have the "it" that drew me to watch it in the previous seasons

The best thing to happen to ANTM would be for Tyra to leave. Put Mr. Jay in as head judge, bring another super model on to panel and that would be awesome. I think Mr. Jay does a great job on Canada's Next Top Model.
