AIAddict... I think that Claire made a difficult choice, but she's right in making it. Her passion is modeling and she's going after what her heart wants. If you had a child (or maybe you do) and you gave up on your dreams, what would that really say about you? Sometimes you have to make sacrifices and no matter what she decided to do (go to night school, get a degree), she is still going to be sacrificing time. I know because I do online courses and when I'm not working, I'm trying to catch up on assignments. Also, she is going to have to pay for the courses and what if she doesn't get a job in her chosen profession? No matter what, it's going to be a struggle but I think her child will be proud because she attempted to follow her dream. Claire is trying to make a better life for herself and her kid and I'm all for that.

AIAddict, I'm so with you on the flagrant waste. It was just shameful. While I usually roll my eyes slightly at the PETA people, I was really hoping that there would be some picketing at the shoot, or at least some mention of negative press. On a different note, I'm not familiar with the photographer who did the shoot, but I found it amusing that his only previous credits mentioned was a previous season of ANTM. Maybe they are scraping the bottom of the barrel with photographers, as well as modelettes.

Has anyone heard of any backlash from last night's episode? I need to try to see if any groups are outraged. They really did waste a ton of meat and I think I'd be grossed out if I had to wear it.

To ZombieBovine: Very weill said and I'm all for following your dreams. I have followed mine with many a sacrifice. And I do have a young child whom I would do anything for. But I did give up my career for the first couple of years of his life so that I could be the one who was with him in those formative years -- this was my choice and I was lucky to be able to follow thru with it. I'm not saying that Claire should not follow her dreams -- I'm just saying that I'm turned off by the fact that she is doing it while still lactating -- her baby needs that milk and if her choice was to breast feed it is my view that she should commit to that and wait to go after modeling until that commitment is finished. Just my view. I must also say -- that out of all the girls in this season -- I think she has quite a bit of potential and that I do hope it all works out for her and that the show does help her realize her dream and make a better life for her family.

a lot to say this episode---- firstly, lauren's picture blew me away. But her attitude at panel and her walk are both TERRIFYING. like ilovamericasnexttopmodel said, you're nothing in the fashion world if you can't walk. Also, i'm glad amis went home. i'm all for individualism or whatever, but please don't be annoying, we all know panel is about being a pallette- a sexy pallette, not a ninja. It's quirky, and her style, I get it, but i'm sure there's something cool for you to wear besides a headband. Finally, i'm lovin claire and katarazyna-- i really think they'll go far!

I didn't find this photo shoot offensive at all. First of all, who can say that they didn't resuse some of the "meat clothes," meaning they probably didn't use that much meat to dress the models. Secondly people keep talking about how it was such a waste to use the meat. I'm sure they collected the meat and fed it to the animals in the animal shelter.
