Tyra-HaircutAs of today, there are still six weeks left until the ninth season – excuse me – Cycle premiere of America’s Next Top Model. Until then, fans will have to subsist on reruns or possibly even resort to checking out upstart model-based series A Model Life with Petra Nemcova on TLC.

There’s been a recent change, however, in the plans for the premiere. CW has taken a look at their schedule and decided that the Cycle Nine premiere needs to slim down - drastically.

I can't believe that they are actually considering shortening the premiere. It has to be one of their highest rated shows on their network. The premiere is exciting BECAUSE we get to see 2 hours on the first day...this is lame!!

You guys are tripping, why cut it back?? I understood that this was your top rated show, don't you want the viewers to continue watching the show?? Why mess with a good thing??

Theyre cutting it back so they can give Gossip Girl good ratings. The CW doesn't give a !@#!@ about ANTM because they know it's still gonna get high ratings, with or without 2 hours. They need the ratings for Gossip Girl, and if they held off the premiere of it until next week it would've gone up against Private Practice and Bionic Woman on NBC -- haaaale no

I'm actually thinking of skipping the show if they shorten it. That Gossip Girl show looks stupid, I'm not going to watch anything affected- or infected- by it.

i think they shouldnt do that 1 hour premiere. its not long enough! i also think they should expand antm even more than 2010! only if the ratings are still good

Damn those producers of the network. Do you think I waited all this time to get an hour only show. This sux big time, we need that longer time so that we can really get hooked again to the show. My friend Jaslene already won before, but I need to see something to catch me before I get hooked all over again. reconsider cause the fans are speaking from the heart.
