I do not agree that Johns and Smithson were better than Cook, but I would have loved to have seen Johns and Cook in the finale. The Johns/Smithson debut was definitely one of the highlights of the night (they should tour together). I'll miss the show. Cook was one of the most gracious winners they've had (look how much attention he gave to Archie). I didn't think there was a conspiracy by any means. I just think Simon in particular voted Cook's fans to vote (and even harder than usual, if I'm any indication). I think both Archie and Cook will have great careers, and deservedly so (as will Johns and Smithson and probably Carly as well).

Oh, and I loved George Michael. Bryan Adams was also fun. Mike Myers was NOT. But that's the way it goes on FOX. At least Cook and Archie got cars. That was cool, and sort of made up for the cringe-worthy Ford ads (including one last night) we had to do with.

Thanks to Oscar and John. I, too, will miss reading and hearing from you. Now it's on to So Y

Cowell said on leno monday night that he was rooting for cook and that cook was the better singer. so i think that kind of squashes any theories against cook. I think it was more the producers actually knowing david cook was running away with it and they were hoping lil archie could close the gap alittle. I was a big chikezie fan and if you go back and watch everytime he got a solo in last night, he had cheers that rivaled any other singer outside of the top 2. hes has tons of charisma, i believe at least 9 of these 12 will have successful careers. Overmyer (who looked like she couldnt have cared any less about being there last night), hernandez and mullaby will never be heard from.

THEY JUST PLAYED DAVID COOK'S VERSION OF TIME OF MY LIFE ON MIX 98.5 IN BOSTON! It sounds really good.

Loved the opener "Hero". I was thrilled that DC won, he was hot last night. I also thought DA came across much more "current" in his duets with DC and OneRepublic than he ever did solo. Loved the George Michael song as well. All in all, a great night.

Finally the judges didn't get the winner they wanted, They got DAVID COOK!!!!!!

BTW I really enjoy Carly and Michael performance, great!

I'll say it again....any fool who thinks Carly should've been in the Final 2, is truly a foolish idiot!!!! Carly was horrible and she should've been gone a lot earlier than she was!!!! She will fail miserably if she puts out a CD!!!
