I don't hate Archie. I just don't like his performance style. I've never said he does not have a good voice. I just don't like his type of music. My opinion is based on my own personal music preferences. And I do not think Archie was better than David Cook no matter what fantastic shape Archie's fans think his voice was in. He sang the same runs in all three songs. Every single song sounded exactly the same to me. That blank stare and constant lip licking made me cringe. Again -- my personal preferences. Not hatred. Geesh! Its not like we're discussing the future leader of our country -- take a chill pill.

AI: I'll refrain from calling you an addict until the results show. I'm letting myself get excited because DialIdol is predicting Cook will win and Archie will lose...it's not even close. If that happens, I will think it's the greatest thing ever simply because it means Idol lost. But yes, I do suspect that, no matter the votes, Archuleta will be crowned the winner. I almost hope he does, then there's this huge voting controversy, leading into HBO's new TV movie on Sunday, Recount, about the 2000 election in Florida.

I disagree that little David will win. He may have won the night, but Cook won the season in my opinion and the viewers know that. So I think Cook will be the AI winner. I couldn't stand watching the judges do their act on their praise of Little David, and it was just that...,an act, I thought. They are poor actors. Especially Simon. My feeling is that they all want Arch to win it all .

I'm not sure why people assume Archuleta will win when the backlash against him is massive. David Cook has had it in the bag for weeks. But since we can't go back in time and pick a more deserving top 2, Archuleta would get my vote if I cared enough to bother.

i agree the kid won the night with safe choices, cooks downfall was his wanting to take unknown songs and make you love them but in the finals people wanted more familiar tunes. i liked all 3 of cooks songs and thought he totally outperformed the kid on the u2 song but i think the kids did make s better choice to close out although i didnt like his take on imagine, which is a great song. no matter, cook will totally outsell the kid and has great range and a rocking voice. i really think they went overboard to sell archuleta to the voters and i dont understand why. cook has nerve and was true all the way though and will have a great career no matter. the kid is a safe singer and to me without a true niche other than ballads which dont go well song after song on a cd.

East coast voting is closed and Dial Idol predicts David Cook to win and it's not close. If Archie is named the winner, I may never watch this show again. Dial Idol has correctly predicted the winner of every season since they started. The only way they get this one wrong is if the producers have a predetermined winner in mind.

I like Archuleta, and I'm not a dumbass kid. Please do not belittle others, I do not hate Cook , he's a great singer. It's our personal choice.
