American Idol 7: The 10 Best Performances of the Season

There's been a lot of talk about how disappointing this season of American Idol has been. In a lot ways, this is a valid complaint. With FOX and Ryan Seacrest openly declaring that this was the most talented group of finalists American Idol has ever seen, the season was ripe for disappointment right from the beginning. It's hard to imagine any of these finalists achieving Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson levels of success. David Cook has a chance to be Chris Daughtry, Brooke White has a chance to be Regina Spektor, Jason Castro has a chance to be Jack Johnson, Michael Johns has a chance to be Jamie Lidell, and David Archuleta has a chance to be Leif Garrett, but there are a bunch of ifs in there. Despite all this, it was difficult whittling down this list to the top ten best performances of the American Idol season. There were a lot of good ones.

Leif Garrett? Ha! What David Archuleta needs is his own Disney Channel TV show and album. He'd clean up in that market.

Okay, i have one complain with the whole list and i would like you to read this,Oscar.
The first article's name was "BuddyTV uasers choose the best ten performances of the season"
You said: feel free to naminate, the most voted songs will get places in the ranking.
But you put what YOU thought should have been there.
I'm sure that, if we counted votes, She's a woman would luckily be in tenth place, Carly's Come together in the top five, Carly's Here you come again in the ranking, and there would unleast be two DC performances in there. You could have told us that it was all going to be under your critiscm. dissapointed.
I like the list in general, though.

pablo, I never said it was a vote. I took all the nominations that users gave, and that's how I compiled my list.

I think two other brooke performances deserved to get on here. Love is a battlefield and youre so vain were both really great and also Alaina Whitakers More today than yesterday was great. Im sorry btu Amanda's you cant do that was 80% unintelligible.you couldnt understand it. I hate Myself for Loving You was good though.
