American Idol 7: Why David Cook Will Win

David Cook is a pretty normal dude, or at least that's how he comes off on TV. From Middle America, wearer of silly facial hair, former high school musical participant, and not one of those rockers interested in being super-cool all the time, David Cook is a likable person. Maybe you aren't a fan of his music, or his various interpretations of the songs he sings, but you have to admit that he's found a niche, stuck to it, and consistently performed at a high level throughout the entire American Idol season. If you remember, Cook was often derided by Simon Cowell early in the season for his lack of personality. To his credit, this Cowell chiding did not inspire a change in persona from Cook. He remained resolute in his unassuming nature and, in the process, came off as genuine – a trait imperative for any up and coming rock singer. If you stay on American Idol long enough, the media and the judges and the whole entire production will create a shining persona for you. But, all of that wouldn't mean anything if David Cook wasn't immensely talented – thankfully, he is. Here are the reasons why David Cook will win American Idol.

I would argue that DC is the best singer... I think Archie has the better pipes... But he certainly ain't no Clay Aikens! DC is by far the better performer and there are many a famous singing star whose draw ain't singing!... Archie's pipes don't make up for his lack of personality or flexibility!... By the way, I believe that Archie also plays an instrument (the piano)...

Thank you! COOK is better! I saw your Archie article first and I so don't want him to win!!!! Sorry. Cook does have it all over Archie--better singer, better performer, better at choosing songs, etc. etc,! He really proved his versatility to me with, "Music of the Night". I've enjoyed most of Cook's perforances while I have only enjoyed one of Archie's and that was, "Stand By Me" not "Imagine". Cook may miss a few notes once in a great while,( No one can be perfect all of the time!) but he is still far more entertaining on any given day. And Cook IS CUTER!!!!!

but David Cook is a lot better than Archuleta....

i think if archuleta wins he will be a one hit wonder and that just it..

but if david cook wins...he's gonna have one amazing career....

David Cook is an original recipe!!!!!!!!!! Btw, to those of you who say Archie has a better voice, is he as versatile as David Cook? And he certainly doesn't have a falsetto like DC does. Archie is all very PLANNED/TRAINED. Cook is a natural. End of. AND he is going to win ---- VOTE PEOPLE, VOTE!!!!!
