Despite the seemingly universal admission that the seventh season of American Idol has been lackluster in almost every way imaginable (the ratings back this up, as do the BuddyTV user comments throughout the season), American Idol 7 has had its share of great and memorable performances. It also has had its share of cringe-inducing low lights. American Idol is always good at producing the good and the ugly, with those performances lying somewhere in the middle fading away into oblivion. Next week, we are going to take a retrospective look at both the ten best performances of the season, as well as the ten worst performances of the season, and we need your help. Yes, you, BuddyTV user. Below, if you could, we'd love to hear what you believe were the best of the best and the worst of the worst on American Idol this past season. To read the rest, click here.

Worst Performance : David Archuletta "With You" This is the worst performance of the year because it did not David's voice. David can sing Broadway/pop diva/1970's ballads, and he can't sing R&B. He had a word screw up, cracked voice, bout tunation, and it was just horible. Best Performance "Carly Smithson" Come Together This was really good. She changed it up and really showed her creative side. It was a good way to show her contemporary voice, which throughout the season hasn't been shown much by many contestants

Top Seven 1. David Cook, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" 2. David Cook, "Hello" 3. David Archuleta, "Imagine" 4. Jason Castro, "Hallelujah" 5. Michael Johns, "We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions" 6. Chikizie Eze, "She's a Woman" 7. Jason Castro, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" or David Cook, "Billie Jean" or David Cook, "Eleanor Rigby" I'd put David Cook's performances above a lot of others. I may be willing, even, to move Chikizie up on the list. That hoe-down performance was amazing.

Archie's "With You" was horrid. My Faves are "Come Together" by Carly and My faves by David Cook are "Always be My Baby","Innocent","I'm Alive", and "Hello". I aso loved Syesha's "One Rock and Roll to Many."

Best: 1) Michael Johns' Bohemian Rhapsody 2) Syesha's performance the week she lost her voice 2) David Cook's Billy Jean. (Brooke's Let it Be was nice, too.) Worst: 1, 2, and 3) Eight Days a Week, butchered by K.L. Cook. Ugh.

Ok....this is really hard. I had to go back into some old threads to remember songs etc. Worse performances: I can't think of anything really that stands out. Pretty much anything from Chikezie and Danny Noriega! LOL Kady Malloy was up there with almost all of her stuff being just ugh! Oh....Kristy Lee Cook's "Eight Days a Week" was bad. Songs I loved: Brooke White's "Let It Be"; Jason Castro "If I Fell", David Cook's "Daytripper" and David Cook's "Billy Jean" or David Cook's "Little Sparrow" ohhhhh almost forgot Jason Castro's Over the Rinbow" and "Hallaejluah" were awesome! Also loved Brooke's "I am I said" was one of my favorites.

Top: 1) David Cook-Hello-First real "moment' of the season for me, immediately bumped him from my #2 to #1. Really hoping he sings it next week. 2) David Cook-Billie Jean-Perfect performance. Hot in ways Randy, as a guy, couldn't even comprehend. 3) Michael Johns-It's All Wrong But It's All Right-Finally showed what a huge star he could be, living up to his Hollywood week potential. Again, almost too hot. 4) Jason Castro-Hallelujah-Loved this song, really loved his performance 5) David Cook-Eleanor Rigby 6) Carly-Here You Come Again 7) David Cook-Always be my baby (the studio version of this is actually #1 for me) 9) Carly-Total Eclipse of the Heart 10)David Cook-Baba O'Reilly/All I Really Need is You tie Bottom: 1) KLC-8 Days a week 2) Archuleta-We Can Work it Out 3) Brooke White-You must love me 4) Jason-Fragile-Love Jason, but this was my least fave of his performances 5) Carly-The Show Must Go On

I like the nominees so far, everybody, but I want some passionate pleas for specific songs. Tell me why they should be on the list.
