Am I imagining this or did Randy start to criticize Archie after Longer before realizing that he was supposed to pimp him, then resort to his usual inanities of "you could sing the phonebook" and "hot one". His facial expression began with "this is crap" before he covered with cliches. This show is crap! When they are so obviously partisan, what reason is there to care? They gave Syesha crap songs to sing, unfairly trashed her performances, ignored yet another lyric flub (4th by my count) from Archie the Song Vampire, threw him a softball with Longer, as always ignored the fact that his feet seemed glued to the floor and he has the stage presence of a post, and continue to laud decent, but unremarkable performances from Cook, who also has no presence. I'm not pimping for Syesha here - I don't think she's great shakes either - I would just like honest evaluations and a level playing field. I think she was smart to add a little choreography, it sets her

Oh, to have had Cook, Castro, Johns and Smithson as the top 4. I can dream.

Syesha is certainly more enjoyable to watch and listen to than either of the Davids....but my opinon, and I believe she will have a longer and more successful career in the arts than either of the Davids. But only after all these comments have been forgotten and erased, will we ever know. Now, I will move to CNN and listen to Michelle Wright's summary. It has been an interesting season but a strange top 3 and an even stranger top 4 it was.

TexRex, I couldn't agree more. And if it IS a David v David finale next week (probable), then I hope that there is no shclocky THIS IS MY NOW song contest winner (who really votes for this?!). The contestants are NOT allowed to change it up--at least they weren't last year--resulting in Blake's cringe-worthy, embarrassed (he admitted this) performance.

The a capella in David A's first song was AMAAAZING!! Only the strongest singer with the dynamic, emotional, and technical control can pull off something like that. Yes, admittedly, his second song was not good. He did well on the third one, as well as he could, with the very old and extremely boring song HE WAS GIVEN. You have to wonder what the producers are trying to set up by giving him a song that plays to every negative criticism he has received about singing ballads all the time. David Cook's first song was his best, then it went downhill. By his third song, he lost his voice, was flat and pitchy during 60% of the song and even his ultra predictable, formalaic pattern of going from slow and mumbly to his loud/screaming/guitar thrashing/face crinkling/teeth baring bit sounded even more strained than usual. Syesha did all right, but definitely didn't deserve the lacklustre comments from the judge.

for some reason i loved archie singing chris brown. probably because i love chris brown and hate those slow boring songs. and although david C did really good on the first song i thought the singer of switchfoot sings it way better so i couldn't help but compare the two because their voices are so similar.

im my opinion. syesha was the best of the night. cook's best performance was his first. his second sounded off key but was just alright n he kinda killed the last one. archuleta's best was his first, he killed chris brown, never again archuleta never again. doesnt seem the judges cleaned their ears that afternoon..i think that syesha singing fever was very good, the judges keep giving bad reviews to her to get what they want because america listens to what they say and they're pushing america to vote 4 the 2 davids instead..honestly NONE of them should be in the top 3..THIS SEASON SUCKS BIGTIME
