Listening to DC is almost painful - literally. His 'style' is ravaging his throat ..he can't even get through 3 songs without going horribly off key- and I'm being kind. .Any CD he could record could only consist of 12 songs sung one way...screaming. ..and that would get very irritating very quickly for him as well as us.

Whether you like the genre they sing or not, DA and SM are far more versatile (ie: overall talent) which gives them staying power over the long haul.....not that it will make a difference sadly...

I agree about the judges...I think they have lost all interest- not that anyone can blame them. Must have been disheartening to see Jason stick around as long as he did...

JazzyJake: Food poisoning -- eh. And then as I lay on the couch I was bludgeoned by this horrible ep of AI's top 3. I was rendered pretty much comatose by the time it was all over.
These rankings are right on though. Archie was BAD! The first round of songs were OK -- I thought DC was very good considering Simon's vanity was showing. After that it was just painful. Why not just two full songs instead of three snippets? Archie should never sing a song that uses any sort of current slang in it ever. My Boo? ICK! Creepy! ICK! SueBrody is right NEVER, EVER, NEVER!

Syesha is playing the Broadway card -- which (to me) xplains the 'Fever' choice and the stagy performance. After what Randy and the producers chose for her to sing (total sabotage) and the fact that she wasn't meant to be in the top 3 -- can you really blame her for pimpin' to the musical theater audience? I have always thought she was competing to get exposure as an actress -- not a singer.

I agree with BobPierre about David Cook's "talents," but I feel the same way about Archuleta. Both of them would release CDs consisting of 12 songs that sound exactly the same. Syesha is the only one with any hope of a future career, but she'll be confined to musical theater. Not such a bad thing.

mistymallow2......My comments weren't meant to offend nor were they rude, but obviously yours were. Shame people have to resort to cruelty and personal attacks instead of intelligently expressing their opinions. Your method of expressing yourself is indicative of all that is wrong in our society today. Such a shame.

ps...my wife loves DC but she feels the same way about his limited vocal ability which is really a shame. I also agree that Syesha will be around longer than all of them...she will shine on Broadway and probably put out a decent CD or 2...

This drives me NUTS! In the immortal words of Ross Gellar 'Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E is 'you are' -- Y-O-U-R is 'your'! Basic english people. If you are going to deliver base insults to others who are simply stating an opinion at least have the grace to use proper english.

I agree with BuddyD. Randy is hardly eloquent with his "molten hot vocals" and "sing the phonebook, dawg" critiques and Paula isn't any better when she reiterates what Randy just said and claims it as her own. Simon is my favorite judge because, harsh or not, he is almost ALWAYS accurate with his predictions. He was right with Kelly and Carrie having successful careers. And to some degree, he was even right with Taylor. He didn't give him the greenlight during the auditions [but Randy and Paula did] and look how well his career turned out... oops, what career????
