Simon was mostly right last night so don't understand your stuff about him. I also thought Paula was more "in tune" than normal until the meds really kicked in during Cook's last song. Randy - just sit a cut up doll in his chair and play the tape. I will give him props for forgetting (for a minute) that they want a DvD final before waking up and giving DA the most insincere "you can sing anything" - round 3 - ever seen. Also though it was nice that Simon and Paula told Syehsa she is going home and Simon told DA (befreo hearing the other 2) that he was good enough to make the finals.

Is anyone else tired of the 90 second song fragments? Let them sing entire songs at this stage please.

As I've opined before, Randy and Paula clearly need to go. They are simply not judging. Not only are they judging badly, they are so obviously biased that any notion that this is a real competition is laughable. Dispatch Randy and Paula, limit calls per phone and raise the age of eligibility (18 at the time of audition) and this crapfest may be fixed.

Awww David A's daddy can't go back stage anymore? GOOD... I really hope that he's eliminated. I'm so sick of the same vanilla effort and the ever so boring song choices. Go home with daddy and cry on his shoulder.

Oscar, only 6 percent of of 1500 readers say that David Cook may be eliminated. I'm reading that as NO, he won't be (luckily, you also pegged him first in the power rankings). Cook's first song was, IMO, was as good as any he's sung this season. His second was pretty eh; his third was solid. Archuleta was kind of boring, but on point for two of them (we shall forget his attempt at channeling Chris Brown). Syesha was, for me, and for the first time, REALLY ANNOYING. She vamped it up so much that I just wanted to say, Okay, we KNOW you are an actress, now stop! I'm glad for her she's made it to the top three, but this should be it.

As far as the program, it was quite awful last night. Ryan and the contestants in particular were never set. The penguins discussion (and the supposedly cute conversation between Simon and Randy over David v David) were just ridiculous and killed time they NEEDED. Paula was incoherent, Randy was annoying, and Simon was, as BuddyD says, the only one who said a

Last night was so boring. Doesn't matter who wins now... but I'm hoping for DC. I'd like SM to come in second, but I fear what his dad would do to him if DA finishes third!

Pay no attention to Idiot Oscar, people!!! He NEVER knows the songs and a 2 year-old knows more about music than him!!! In addition, he thinks horrible syesha is sexy!! In other words, he's completely clueless when it comes to AI!!!!

Like I've been saying, I don't like DC as a person but he is the most marketable artist. Also - the best thing that could ever happen to him is that he DOESN'T win. That first album that AI people put out for the winners always suck. Even Kelly Clarkson.

What wuz I thinking???? From this group I think the song lengths should be reduced not expanded. Geez, I forgot how awful this year's group has been! 90 seconds of anything is beyond endurable!

How about 9 seconds?
Is 9 seconds of Archuleta standing like a post and sucking the soul out of a ballad too much ?
