I have to say the american public never fails in their consistency you love to bulid stars up and then just tear them to pieces as a nation of people you seem to thrive on it. People make mistakes and you know what if you didn't plaster it all over the internet and et news people wouldn't even take any notice. AND I HAVE TO SAY IT IS NOT ALL THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WHO DO THIS. PAULA DOES HAVE HER SUPPORTERS LIKE AMANDAD7 AND ME.

I just feel like Paula adds nothing to the show. She mostly gives advice (if you want to call it that) which makes no sense or is totally irrelevant to the contestant's career. The judges have gotten very cliche, very stale. They need to revamp - STAT.

The formula is Simon and Paula. One would be boring without the other. Of all the judges, I say Randy goes. Without him and with someone else, it wouldn't change much. But if Idol wants more viewers, change how the voting system works. Period.

you make a big assumption, along with most of the lemmings in today's media. You have no idea whether she truly saw a dress rehearsal. Her words may have been crafted in advance by her or others INDEPENDENT of the poor kid's actual performance. They're trying to ram that little hobbit Archuleta down our throats!

Right again, JazzyJake -- must be my lost twin. Paula DOES have to go. Period. The judges serve a role in improving the contestants' performances with bona fide criticism. This wishy-washy mumbo-jumbo coming from Randy and Paula isn't entertaining, relevant or useful. Imagine a new person sitting in that middle seat with clear, concise criticisms along with some grace and humor. Priceless! Bring it on!

Id say leave her for the rest of the year. Next year perhaps Vanessa Williams would be a better fit. Sarah McLachlan would be good as well but she'll never do it.

We are all human and we all make mistakes, but I, and everyone I know, is usually held accountable for our mistakes. Paula has been driving me crazy all season with her incoherent babbling. Last week was ridiculous and unforgivable. I can't imagine having to sing after her comments. On Wednesday night I was expecting to hear an apology to Jason, but instead we get Ryan consoling Paula and letting all the fans know that she's just a happy little idiot that shouldn't be held responsible for her actions. Does she have some handlers we could talk to?
Randy isn't doing much for the show this season either. He seems completely absorbed with himself and shows a complete lack of interest in what is happening on the stage. I think it's time to replace a couple of judges with people who could offer the contestants reasonable critiques and take their job seriously.

Let's not forget that criticism need not be negative. Hearing what someone did well would be beneficial too.

I only have 1 word. Loyalty. Maybe they should work more on helping her than throwing her to the wolves. Randy's Dog Dudeology irritates me. Simon Cowell always looks the same and is there for someone to hate. So please don't make this show more than it is, a simple entertainment show making money for Nigel. So you think you can dance is as bad. If they really wanted the talented to succeed, they would prepare them and coach them to the best of their abilities. The auditions were the test. Now you have to train these singers to be better than they are instead of giving them a music sheet and a mike and hope somebody votes for them. Wake Up! Its all about the bucks!! (although I wouldn't pass it for Simon to demand his money in Euros!)
