Ryan actually never told Syesha and Brooke that they were in the bottom two (well, obviously Brooke got the lowest number of votes). So I wonder if they just faked us out and someone else had fewer votes than Syesha. It's curious that he never said "you are the bottom two" or "you two got the lowest number of votes." I think they're playing us. Wonder if Jason WAS in the bottom two (or even David A, who I was NOT impressed with Tuesday night). Something's fishy.

I don't think that it is only teen girls voting for Jason, but I do think that most of those voting for him are voting based on his looks rather than his talent. If he wasn't so cute he would have been voted off weeks ago.

Im 22 and I'm not a teen girl but I really like what Jason does. I don't really care about his look, just his songs, they are amazing, he has a lot of talent. So please stop the prejudices against teen girls, they are not the only citizens in America who can vote.

Did you hear Jason during the medly? The boy does have vocal chops on his sort of songs (or with enough rehearsal). Davdi A was asctually the one who screwed the pooch on performance night and should have gone home. With next week's theme...look for shocking elimination.

CathyEM, I wondered about that too. Dialidol.com had Syesha pegged at number one, and while I understand that they have a significant margin of error, I find it hard to believe they would be THAT far off. Also, as you pointed out, Ryan almost pointedly avoided using the term "bottom two". After Tuesday's show there was a lot of speculation that Simon's comments would spur voting for Syesha, and they may have been right.

If Jason were a laid back stoner who at least woke up for 5 minutes a week to deliver energetic performances, that'd be awesome. But instead he sings every song in a barely there haze. At least the other contestants seem like they're trying.

well I'm 24, certainly not considered a teen anymore, so I feel the need to say that some people actually like his style of music and his voice, regardless of what he looks like. Has anyone ever listened to Bright Eyes?? I guarantee if he ever went on American Idol he'd be ripped apart just as Jason's been. But first, go and download "First Day of My Life" and tell me it's not amazing. Jasons style may not be that of what the majority enjoys, but there are many people, not just teenage girls, who enjoy the sound of his voice and the song choices he makes, the fact that he's adorable is simply icing on the cake
