I agree with John that last year's top 5 (aka top 6, take two) was better, but I much much prefer Bon Jovi to Neil Diamond. I loved both of Cook's songs tonight, and actually enjoyed Little David and Jason's as well, though to a lesser degree. Syesha and Brooke could both go this week and I wouldn't miss them much. It would be a much better show if they could get rid of the themes, especially this late in the competition, and it would be an amazing show if they just let Cook sing the whole hour with an occasional close up on Jason and Little David smiling.

Randy and Paula's critique of Dave A doesn't surprise me, they have sucked up to him from day one...But Simon? He tears apart each singer even when uncalled for but not little Dave. Has the Dad been supplying him with archie juice? Simon has not been fair this year. Dave C is brilliant and definitely deserves to be AI; although he probably would do better if he came in 2nd. I am waiting for his CD, Castro is playing on his looks; he has given up, it seems on competing. Brooke's 2nd song was very good and S is starting to get her groove but unfortunately too late.

MARIE, I'm at a loss why others would say it would be much better for David Cook to come in 2nd. This is what he's competing for - to be no.1, to be the American Idol so let's give him the votes he deserves. Poor 2nd just won't do, it would be such a great INJUSTICE!!

They've signed an agreement that the AI folks will produce their 1st album if they win. A lot of people don't want that kind of artistic handcuffing, the thinking is that the 2nd place finisher gets 90% of the publicity and doesn't have to record some pap like This Is My Now.

Well, if it's not little David ballad boy gone then better Brooke than the others. My assumption was always Brooke to be gone anyway.
