American Idol 7: Top 6 Performance Rankings - Page 3

i actually agree with the power rankings this week. I hope to see Brooke leave, because of the 6 talented artists left, she is the weakest, and Jason though bland at times can be entertaining with his songs as well. I am happy to see that not being in the bottom 3 last week, finally gave Carly some confiedence and she did a great job this week! David Cook, has a great voice, which i am not suprised after he hinted at it during the Rhianna song at GivesBack. David A dropped the ball and needs to pick a different type of song, please! Syesha did great also, i would not be suprised to see her in the bottom three over David A this week anyway, but i do not think she should go home. If not Brooke then Jason. I think the top three left at this point should be David C, David A and Carly.

-REally enjoyed ALW night, but all of the AI s could have found an appropriate song to sing from ALWs diverse body of work. Jason probably did not have good advisors, but he probably is at the end of his rope.
My rankings:

1-Syesha-really rocked and totally gave an amazing performance!
2-David Cook-who would have known that he grew up doing musical theatre? Would have liked to hear him sing something more dark like Point of No Return from Phantom.
3-David Archuleta-For pure vocals, though he would have done better on a Joseph song
4-Carly-Her energy made the performance very enjoyable and believable, and AWL was right, it would have been completely wrong for her to sing a Phantom song as Christine.
5-Brooke-She may have not had the best command of the song, but she did show some meaningful connection and emotion with the song. Would have liked to hear her do I Don't Know How to Love Him or Memory.
6-Jason-Can't believe he didn't know the song was being sung by a cat!

Armanvalder and B0001982 are completely mistaken if they think Kristy Lee and Michael Johns would have done any better than Brooke and Jason for ALW night-that is not their element-

ANYONE could have done better than Brooke and Jason last night. I could have done better, and people have been known to run screaming from the room with their ears covered when I sing.
I think Michael is a natural musical singer. He has a big voice, and in a rock musical he would do very well. Kristy Lee proved time and again that the theme did not matter. She was able to take a song, countrify it a bit, and make it her own - for better or worse. Jason and Brooke failed utterly in this regard.

wow!!! syesha was the best singer, how come i havent noticed her before now?

I'm thinking its either i've been biased by simon not praising her well before or has she suddenly improved. carly was my best female, but i now actually think syesha is a better singer

I agree with Oscar's performance rankings 100%. I thought last night's show would be a complete trainwreck, but it was actually a pretty good show. I was a little surprised to see Dial Idol shows Carly in last place.

Good - Syesha, Carly & David Cook
Not So Good - David A, Jason & Brooke

I think Brooke should go home but she probably won't as people seem to vote to 'save someone' even if that person isn't their favourite!

I hope Carly stays - she rocked last night and I will be buy her album after the show! I have already downloaded Idol I-Tunes by Carly, David Cook, Michael Johns and Jason Castro!
