American Idol 7: Top 8 Elimination Predictions Reader Reactions

American Idol is unpredictable. All you have to do is look back on this current season and look at who was eliminated and when. No one I've seen has predicted the eliminated singers exactly correct, and I don't think anyone will ever do it. Reading the minds of the voters or correctly guessing which demographics and fan bases will come out in force during a particular week is impossible. Usually, we have voting patterns we can look at for American Idol, but this season has defied the well-worn patterns. Nonetheless, we have to keep trying. None of them will probably go. Like last year around Idol Gives Back time.

Last year no one went because they didn't have an extra episode, they only had Idol Gives Back and gave them charity. If Idol stretches to an extra night and still doesn't eliminate anyone, there will be a huuuge backlash. Someone is definitely going, and it's Carly.

I'm sure someone will leave.. and based only on this week performances.. it would be the fair thing if that someone is Carly..

But since they have all top 12 idols in LA (and I bet Danny is there as well) are they going to pull some wildcard trick and add not subtract tonight?

And Shyesha is safe btw. Nigel, the producer said it is someone who has been on top all season, and this just reminds that it has to be great on every time. So it will be either, Carly or David.C, predict Carly, hope for David.C.

I think Carly is going home, and my bottom three predictions seem to be in sync with those of GarnageHall. If David C. escapes the bottom three though, I think Brooke would be next in line to join the bottom three. Michael would be next, but I hope that's not the case. Only he, David A., and David C. haven't been in the bottom three up until this point, so it'd be a shame if it happened now.
