Oscar what did you hear in "Scream On" that I didn't? I thought it was high-school rock band amateurish. I have to admit that I don't get the appeal of either Jason or Brooke. College open-mike night amateurish to my ears. This week Jason was interesting though. Brooke, as usual, bored me. Carly and DCook gave astonishingly bad performances. KLC a surprising good one. Syesha deserves to get bounced, but I'm not predicting - yet. She always wants to do a song done by someone with bigger pipes than hers and fails by the comparison. Similar to Ramiele, her song selection alone should eliminate her. I wondering if there will be a surprise this week. Chikesie was a mild surprise, but there hasn't been a big one yet this season.

My ranking: 1) Paula's cleavage 1) KLC - with garlic and all (kudos to AIAddict for that analogy!) 2) Jason - with latte 3) Archie - with white cheddar 4) Brooke - with white bread 5) Syesha - with leftover pizza 6) Johns - with a mug of Fosters 7) Carly - with a few pints of Guiness After the first 3 which were decent, 4 thru 8 are mostly interchangeable.

Oscar, I think we must have similar tastes in music. My rankings wouldn't be exactly like yours, but close. I like a song with a good melody, good lyrics and sung in a way I can understand the words, and hopefully injected with some emotion. Just being loud doesn't constitute passion. I don't think David Cook, Sayesha or Carly brought those things last night, and I thought the others did, to one degree or another. Favorite--Jason, then Michael, then KLC, Brooke, and David A. KLC picked a great song and sang it OK, as did Brooke. David A. picked an OK song and sang it great. Jason picked a great song and sang it great. The only problem I have with that version is that the guy who originally did it put the words all out of order, and Jason went with it the same way. But his performance was very good.

I thought this week's performances were weak. In fact, it's the second consecutive bad week for me. My top three performances would be Jason (shocker), Kristy (even bigger shocker), and Michael. I think the bottom three will be David Cook, Syesha, and Carly. It's gonna be a close one between Syesha and Carly, but I think Carly's going home.

TVAddict: the "would you a buy a CD" argument isn't good since I would never by an album from anyone on this show. Heck, I don't even buy CDs. As I've said, the only thing I'm interested in is making the best, most entertaining show on TV. And honestly, I zone out every time Carly or Archuleta get on stage. At least with KLC, she can make me laugh (at her, but who cares).

I must stand up for my man David Cook here ... He did not actually give a bad performance ... I think he is in the position where he has set the standard so high for himself that when has a "performance that was not as good as last week's" it really affects him. That said, I really like how he has taken songs not from his genre and made the his own, whereas singing an Our Lady Peace song was not the best move I think ... I would have given him something like We Belong by Pat Benetar. All I can say is that he better not be in the bottom three, America! I think Brooke or Carly will go this week...which is a shame because it really should be KLC that goes, but based on her performance last night...she'lll probably stay ( evn though she might enter the B3 again )..

Yesterday night was really weird-most everyone seemed to trade places. David C., Michael, and Carly (a few of the more consistent contestants) seemed to deliver weaker performances than usual. While on the flip side, Kristy, Jason, and Brooke were able to break away from mediocrity and deliver very good performances. I agree with the rankings-they jive with my preferences on the performances. Even Simon and Randy traded places, at least for the first bit of the show.

DialIdol agrees that Jason and Kristy did a good job, as they're listed as safe alongside David Archuleta. Meanwhile, Syesha and Carly are in seventh and eighth place, respectively. If their rankings are correct, then we'll most likely see David Cook join the two in the bottom three, but Brooke or Michael might also find themselves there in place of David. I think we'll probably see Carly or Syesha go.
