American Idol 7: Ramiele Malubay Elimination Interview

Ramiele Malubay was eliminated from American Idol last night. In some ways, this was a surprise. Ramiele had never been in the bottom three before. It appeared that her voting base was large, and mysteriously so. However, she went from being safe and out of the bottom three to elimination in just one week's time. There was nothing wrong with Ramiele, nothing that drew the ire of fans – she was simply a cut below the other remaining singers on American Idol. Today, Ramiele held a conference call with the media and answered every American Idol question that came her way.

i think this is sad! i didnt want her to go home yet, i think she should of stayed and then that kristy lee cook to go home. shes terrible at singing! ramiele was so much better!

Ramiele wasn't one of my favorite contestants but i still thought that she was a good singer and plus she's short like me..actually i'm shorter than ramiele.. i'm only 4'10.

Ramiele was out of her league. Perhaps with some voice lessons and a few years, she could be decent. I didn't care for her boring, out of tune performances.

I was surprised on her elimination as well. I was expecting for Ramielle staying for two or three more weeks. It seems her fan-based vote is not large enough to help her go further. Or they may get tired on waiting for her to make a great performance.

come n visit the philippines and try your luck in philippine showbiz im sure you will be an instant celeb here.its really very hard to enter in american idol search muchmore with the process of audition.it really takes a lot of hardwork. most of all YOU MUST HAVE GOLDEN VOICE! EVERY PERFORMANCE SHOULD BE ALWAYS remembered WITH great IMPACT WITH THE AUDIENCE MUCHMORE TO THE 3 JUDGES..

I guess Ramiele was prescient when she mentioned the Malubay/lullaby comparison. Her performances certainly put me to sleep, and it appears that even her own fans nodded off Tuesday.
