MargoK - Have you listened to Rami on I-tunes with the entire song? The girl has a really good voice. She also has a dedicated fan base (not the little boys either). She is not as good as Carly but (IMHO) she is much better than Syesha and will last longer than both of them.

Incredibly, I want David A. to win the whole shebang -- not because I like him or would ever buy his CD, but the winner always ends up with the sugary pop crapola that Clive Davis just adores for their first album. Let Little David sing dreck like "This Is My Now" and eat all the confetti!

David Cook will have more latitude in what he performs if he comes in 2nd or 3rd. He's the only one I can forsee listening to in the future.

The rest: who cares?

These picks seem about right. There are very distinct groups...The favorites: DCook, Archuleta and Brooke, where Brooke is the only one with a chance to fall out of the top 3. There are those who could crack the top 3 if Brooke stumbles: Michael and Ramielle, Michael making it if he continues good performances along with his looks, while Ramielle's following gives her a chance. to go very far The rest do not have a chance. Castro=James Taylor wannabe with dreads; Seyesha=good singer and pretty girl who has yet to connect with a fan base; Carly=based karaoke singer in the world with the scariest looking husband; KLC= Pretty country singer who I think makes it to #6 based on being the only country singer in a competition where Dolly Parton appears as a mentor. Many more country fans than usual will be watching Idol whenever Dolly is on it, and those people will vote fot KLC.

I am strongly, strongly hoping against David A. winning this thing. Let's face it, although the kid has a good voice he is extremely limited in what he can sing, he is completely awkward on stage, and he fails to pick songs that anyone can relate too. Outside of that, yeah, the kind has talent and he probably should have waited another 6 years before trying out for idea. Maybe by that time he would have developed something other than his boring personality. The likes of Brooke, David Cook, and Michael are much more deserving artists. The all envelope their own styles and have wider ranges and personally I don't think David A. can or will beat them. America will get sick of the same thing each and every week, his act will get old. Not to mention the kid would sell no records, their already has been a Michael Bolton.

I think people are underestimating how many of Chikieze's votes are going to go to Syesha. I think she'll be fine next week. I think the contestant that does go next will be the biggest surprise of the season. If Castro or Carly bomb with Dolly I'm picking one of those two to leave in an upset.

I mostly agree with Oscar but would swap Ramiele and Carly. I know a lot of Carly fans (despite my efforts to convert them to David C) and no Ramiele fans. I will vote like crazy to help David C. make it to the finale, but not quite sure I'd vote then because I agree completely that he needs to make an album that he has more creative control over. It will be interesting to see what he does with the cheesey songwriting contest song though, if they let him change the arrangement.

These conclusions of winner based logics, are quite silly. The American Idol is like Marathon, it doesn't matter who is in lead at beginning or between, the guy who lead at the end will win. Anything can happen, based on performances I think Michael.J David.C Carly.C have already proved that they could win American Idol as could David.A if he plays it wise and safe (no we can work it out crap) with couple of more connecting ballads at the end. We just have to wait. But I'm pretty sure that rest of them just aren't cut for it. Shyesha, clinique vocals and thats it, Brooke, completely monotonous performances, when she tried upbeat it was hideous, Jason, karaoke by definition, Ramiele, highschool plays, K.Cook, corny I'm strugling to be here like performances.

Simon will get tired of David A. and he'll be an early upset. Top 3: Brooke, Kristy, David C. Brooke or Kristy will win.
