Chikezie Eze, we can all agree, appears to be a good guy. The man always looked like he was having fun, was energetic in all of his performances and was probably the biggest over-achiever on this season of American Idol. In a conference call for the press today, Chikezie discussed his time on American Idol, and he had no regrets. Listening to him speak, one got the sense that Chikezie relished every moment on the Idol stage and decided to approach the show in a unique way – he didn't worry about winning, or pleasing the judges, but just having a good time and putting on a show. These are the highlights from the American Idol conference call. To read the rest, click here.

I liked Chikezie as a performer and am sad to see him go. There are at least 2 other contestants that I would have rather seen " sing" their last song. Too much of the same thing left.

Um -- I liked Chikeze but I'm kind of glad I don't have to hear him sing 9 to 5. How is his last name pronounced if it is not pronounced like 'easy'?

I think his last name is pronounced eh-zay. I think his first name is really pronounced CHEE-kez-yeh, from an earlier interview I saw. I think he has an amazing voice and a lot of versatility -- he not only sings R&B and soul, but country, bluegrass, and rock. I wish I could have heard him sng "9 to 5" just to see what he could have done with it. He may have given us all a nice surprise. I wish him success in the future!

Too bad we won't get to see Chikezie have fun on stage....anyways he's got a great voice and he'll continue singing his heart out. Good luck!

If Chickezee would have stuck with upbeat songs, he could have really become a fan favorite, but he chose way too many classic and obscure soul love songs that many of the voters could not relate to. I think he has star potential, not as a singer, but as a sit-com star.

If I were a chef I would pronounce it "Chicks Over Easy".
