Oscar and John I like the audio commentary - I hope you keep it up. I personally am glad that Kristy Lee made it. I don't understand the group hate thing about her - it is almost like a mob that has found a weak link and is attacking it. She is a better singer than Amanda, and a better performer than several of the other remaining contestants. You may not like her renditions of songs, but at least she is trying to make them interesting and personal, unlike some of the others who just get on the stage and regurgitate songs like robots (see Ramiele).

I mostly agree with b0001882, except that I think Amanda would have improved the touring 10. Not that I could even imagine paying to see this group. I don't find Ramiele interesting at all either. I enjoyed the audio commentary also, keep it up!

I'm glad Ramiele made it. All this bs talk about her being boring is retarded. Not everyone can be as energetic as Chikeze. She has a really good voice and deserves to go far in this season.

I was so surprised that Carly was in the bottom 3. I think it may be because she is a rocker and she was competing against David C, Michael, and Amanda for that vote. Male rockers always seem to do better than female rockers for some reason. She may be safer next week now that Amanda is gone. As far as genres go, I think Syesha should start doing more soul/jazz songs. That is a music area totally unrepresented this year and it could keep her in the competition longer which I hope. Isn't it interesting that Chikezie has gone to into a sort of rockabilly mode? Interesting and effective as it has kept him in it longer than expected.

Weezer - I think people consider Ramiele boring because she does nothing unique with the songs she chooses. She just sings them like they were originally performed. If she mixed them up a bit and put a bit of personality (not just energy) into her performances she would do better. I hate to use the word, but kareoke (sp?) describes her perfectly.

IMO, Ramielle is the worst performer left by far. As the buddytv web-hosts discussed in their predictions discussion, she has a significant and very motivated Filipino voting block that will keep her in much longer than she deserves, She has a nice voice, but no stage pressence. Right now I would say that David A, David C and Brooke are the only ones who are totally safe, with Johns and Castro moderately safe.

While no one can predict who can sell records in this group, I think it can be deduced who is the most likely. Brooke, Johns, Archuleta (think nkotb demographic) , David C and maybe KLC (think red states) can possibly sell records outside of the Idol umbrella. Ramielle, Carly, CHickezee and Castro seem the least marketable. Seyesha is too hard to read right now but I see potential in her.

Okay -- just watched it back. I have to admit that KLC fits the dynamic of the top ten better than Amanda -- no skunk hair, no gravelly, often out of tune voice -- but I still would prefer not to hear KLC sing. You know Oscar -- I think the thing about Carly is that there is something sort of 'put on' about her -- something overly rehearsed about her performance style. Because I sometimes have difficulty watching her even though she does have a very good voice.

I'm wondering if I didn't know Carly had a previous record deal if I would be so put off by her. I agree she has an excellent voice but like AIAddict, I don't like watching her...she looks mad or annoyed, too serious...not a natural performer. Now Brooke on the other hand is just too happy. I'd rather watch her than listen to her sing cause I don't think she's that good a singer. her skill is in selling herself.

Yeah, I agree about Carly. Somehow, whether it's the case or not, she feel inauthentic.
