Cross-promotion is a an important part of modern advertising.  I understand this.  But, for the love of everything that is holy, is it necessary to pimp Horton Hears a Who while The Beatles “A Day in the Life” plays in the background?  Whenever I hear “A Day in the Life” I think of John Lennon and it makes me sad that he's dead.  It shouldn't be used to advertise an animated film.  OK, no more soapbox.  Tonight's American Idol Results Show went about as expected – one of the two or three people who we expected to be eliminated was.  Until that moment, though, we had to endure an awful group song and an OK performance from former American Idol Katharine McPhee

The Simon/Ryan banter, while sometimes annoying, is usually cute. Mud wrestling? Hilarious. Also, I still want to know what the deal was with Ryan, Simon, and leaving a college dorm room at midnight. I suspect those two are cruising UCLA at night for some action, and it's probably some pretty kinky stuff.

Kudos to John for the call!

I don't give a rat's butt, but I think the gay stripper revelation sank Hernandez. I believe it removed enough votes to sink him.

Sorry AIAddict you got a reprise of "8 Days a Week".

Speaking of which: this is freakin' great, now we get to hear 3 awful performances reprised instead of 1! This means I DVR all of the results shows and fast forward thru this dreck.

I think I heard Seacrest say that they're doing Lennon/McCartney again next week. That's too bad for many reasons. Now I have to fear having a Bealtles' song ruined again. When are they going to let the contestants be free to choose songs that mean something to them. The shows producer, Lythgow (sp?), indicated in an interview that he didn't like the songs selected last season when the contestants had open choice. I disagree with him.

To TheEditor from an earlier post: Congrats to you on the call -- you have indeed earned the right to be considered wise -- at least until next week. Here is where I give you the raspberries -- thbthbthb.

I just do not at all care for KLC and I suppose my hope was showing and the earworm was still crawling thru my brain.

To JazzyJake: I changed the channel and left the room

Lennon/McCartney AGAIN!?!? That leaves only 13 songs for 11 people!??! Unless --- OH NOO!! Possible repeats from this week!?!!! Guess the producers want to get their money's worth. Arrgghhh!

If this shows up with no paragraph breaks -- would someone mind telling me how to do it? Is there a trick? Return doesn't seem to be working.

I hate cross promotions. I can barely stomach those Ford commercials as it is. WHY did they do "Going The Distance"? You don't even SING in that song! And it's a good song that I don't want to see David Archuleta "rap" to (much as I love him). Way to get it right, America, and send Hernandez home. We don't need no mediocre singers up in this joint! Kristy, we're comin' for you!

And -- this just came to me as I am eating my Cheerios. Maybe a rumored stripper singing about dancing and 17 year old girls was too much for the American voters to handle? Someone probably already mentioned this -- but I'm obviously a little slow this week. How I wish this epiphany had come to me over my Cheerios yesterday then maybe I too could go mwwhahahahahahah!
