The art of American Idol elimination predictions is not easily mastered. There are many variables to take into account, including quality of performance, past performances, each singer's target demographic, the judges' comments, the song choice, the order of the songs, and the singers' relative attractiveness. Since no one person can be the be-all, end-all expert on American Idol eliminations, we're going to try something new here at BuddyTV. Starting this week, BuddyTV writers John Kubicek and Oscar Dahl will be discussing (arguing) about who we believe will be sent home on each American Idol Results Show. To read the rest, click here.

I have to admit, I don't get a good vibe this week (like I did last week on Noriega and Asiah). My bottom 3: D. Hernandez Ramiele KL Cook. I agree that Syesha is close, real close. My final prediction: KL Cook finally exits. Though if it were my choice Archuleta or Ramiele would go.

My bottom 3 if reality TV were fair: 10th: David H. 11th: David A. Going home: KLC (I despise what she did to 'Eight Days A Week' even more than I despise David A. for forgetting his lyrics and being all around poorly prepared AND not being familiar with The Beatles) Who I think it WILL be: 10th: KLC 11th: David H Going home: Syesha Mercado (she was utterly forgettable and I agree with Oscar's theory about bland performances being the death of a contestant this early in the game as opposed to simply horrendous performances -- I think that begins to happen later on in the competition.)

I that Ramiele should be in the bottom as well -- but I think that she has a completely different demographic voting for her -- the Asian Pacific Islander one. Remember Jasmine Trias? She was not very good at all and she stayed forever -- I think because she had the entire state of Hawaii behind her -- as well as the Asian/Pacific Islander vote. I

This isn't so much a prediction as a simple observation. David A. is still getting rave reviews from his performance from 70's week and Ramiele is still considered one of the stronger females. I'm just saying not only do we, but I think we should take past performances in consideration Chikeze is the perfect example. Yeah, he did good this week, but I'm betting David Archuleta will probably turn in a few more great performances as well. The American public really has to think about past shows and not just vote week to week.

First, I agree we need to judge on past performances, which is why I am sticking by Syesha. Also, check the recaps, I've been hating on Archuleta from day one. Second, I agree AIAddict about Ramiele. Based on a lot of the polls we've had at BuddyTV, Ramiele has a lot of fan support, and that's why I didn't even consider her for my bottom three. It looks like there's a consensus around KLC being in the bottom three and Syesha going home, so I'm either going to look very wise or very foolish for going with Hernandez as the first victim of the Top12.

I agree with Oscar that Kristy Lee was the worst but I agree with John that Amanda is very over rated. This is tough. I can't choose sides!

Ha, way to hedge your bets, Gina. I guess you're waiting a few more weeks to see which of us has the better track record. But I get it, because you're half with me, because I'm all contrarian. I thought KLC was better than most people (I blame it all on the arrangement, not her singing) and I dislike Amanda more than most people (at least someone else hears what I hear). Either way, I don't think it matters. Right now, here's how I see the Top 5: Archuleta, Castro, David Cook, Brooke and Carly. I feel pretty confident. Tonight we learned KLC and Syesha will go soon, Chikezie will go as soon as he returns to his bad performances, Ramiele will bore people, Amanda will grate on their nerves, and eventually, Michael Johns will simply be too boring, comparatively.
