David Archuleta can win..... but jeez, do a happy song already! WTF is up with Randy telling MIchael Johns that he sounded just like Michael Hutchence? Don\\\\'t Forget About Me is by Simple Minds, not INXS, dawg! I get that Johns is Australian, but it seemed to me that Randy was referring to the song he sang. And David Hernandez... guys should NOT sing Celine Dion!

My comments abot Hernandez aren't disparaging his sexual orientation. Noriega is gay as the day is long and I think he's fantastic. Hernandez is just boring, and that has nothing to do with whether he's gay or straight (besides, being a stripper fr male patrons doesn't make you gay).

I'm yet to wow'ed by any of the performances by these guys. Only Chikesie managed to actually hold a note without warbling all over the spectrum - give him some props. I thought Hernandez & Noriega were awful; Menard karaoke; Castro and Archuleta forgettable; Johns competent; and Cook and Chekesie decent. This is not my final prediction, but I think Noriega and Menard get bounced.

Tonight's show was fun! First episode I've really enjoyed so far this season. Danny Noriega cracked me up -- he looks more and more like Jessica Alba to me everytime he performs. My husband was 'ROFL' at Ryan Seacrest and Danny's exchange -- hah! David Cook and Jason Castro gave my favorite performances of the night and -- I think Luke Menard and Chikezie are going home. Though I like Chikeze just because I like to say his name -- it kinda just rolls off the tongue 'Chikeze Eze!' -- oh my -- I sound like Paula. How silly was she tonight? Scary Bears! I hope JazzyJake broke down and watched 80's night anyway -- it was worth it just for David Cook's rendition of 'Hello'.

AIAddict, glad to see we're in agreement. Right now, Archuleta is coasting on the votes he's already secured for himself every week from those stupid teen girls. Michael Johns is still coasting on Bohemian Rhapsody. Castro and Cook freaking BRING IT every week, and Noriega is just too much fun to kick off. That leaves one spot in the Top 6 for the guys, and since my fellow writer Oscar Dahl insists that Hernandez=Phil Stacey, he gets it by default.

Poor Luke...he is SOOOOO going home. Unfortunately probably also Chekize...althought I like him I think people are not gonna be voting enought. David Archuleta was good as always....he is really like a little teddybear. I really liked tonight Cook and Castro.

Luke is gorgeous.... Unfortunately, he has bad wardrobe... and not much star quality. Let the Fab 5 work on him and he'll come out Justin Timberlake or a solo Il Divo or something... I like Archuleta, despite the fact that people think he's fixed to win. The boy is undoubtedly talented, and it just makes me feel good to hear him sing.

Yeah, AIAddict, and I agree that "Hello" was the best of the night. What I actually liked about it was that it wasn't a rote performance. Wow, they actually criticized one guy for being off time - are they listening to me? At this stage, the singing is unacceptably poor, IMO. Until Chikesie, not one guy held a note and kept it on pitch. Another guy (Noriega?) breathed not only mid phrase, but mid word - between syllables. I hope the women turn away from Whitney and Celine covers; if not it'll be ugly.

I actually enjoyed Archuleta mentioning the homeless thing. This being my first year watching American Idol, I'm totally baffled why people get ragged on for things like being humble and caring about the homeless. Do people only like the Idol contestants who are evil and full of themselves?
