I appreciate Oscar's comments on David A. I think he is a great singer and will go far in this competition. I also appreciate Oscar bringing up the "Mormon" religion as it gives me a chance to speak a little about a religion that has changed my family's life.

One of the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) is the responsibility to honor the law of the land. In 1879, polygamy was ruled to not be protected by the Constitution of the U.S. The Utah territory was not even a state at the time. In 1890, a statement was issued by the then current leader that church members would no longer practice polygamy. In 1896, Utah was granted statehood.

i dont like when someone dog people for how that are. just stop and think if someone call you names. so please stop talk about someone like a dog, GOD dont like that at all. in my book that are all good, i dont see your ss up there.

He is a good singer, but I think he looks like a kid, so shy, so loser! Sorry Archuleta fans! but I think that he didn't show anything else that a good voice and that is not enough to be a star and the next AI.
David Cook is the best!

im a protistant christain and i happen to agree with oscar. its hard knowing hes a mormon becuase i know this mormon girl who bashes my religion all the timee and stuff. she ever tried to convert me and she already knows that im christian........hes not trying to be mean..hes not saying anything bad about mormons either........but i thought it was polygamy? dont they believe in 3 heavens?

you realize that mormons were only polygomists until it was outlwaed by the country....before that it was common practice........Con man.....Please people.....do your homework.......but He is pretty cool

I can't believe that in an article about an american idol you would go out of your way to say things about a religion that you don't like. They do not practice polygamy ( having more than one spouse). That is actually AGAINST the mormon religion, and the ones who do follow it and claim to be mormons aren't mormons.
And if you think it was founded by a con man, whatever, that's your opinion, but don't state it like it is fact. I have no problem with anyone bashing the religion, but don't say it like your word is fact. It's opinion and others are always going to feel different. All I can say is stay out of Utah, because you'd probably have a whole lot of ugly coming at your face if you keep spouting off stuff like that. It's not a threat, it's the truth. It's going to upset people.
By the way, bashing someone isn't something to be proud of. So let me continue on by saying that if you need to do it, then you need a better hobby, because you have no life.

David is a good singer. End of
