I guess we'd have to give week two to the men on American Idol. Tonight the Top 10 women had some good songs, but there were also some painfully bad ones. If the judges have made one thing abundantly clear, it's that song choice is all that matters. Some performers found the box they fit in while others are still looking. Unlike the guys, no one female is standing out as a frontrunner for the title of American Idol, but we have a few worthy candidates. As always, this list is about my favorite performances from this episode of American Idol, not the most likely to stick around. I proved that last week when I declared Colton Berry was in my top three. To read the rest, click here.

WHAT. Ramiele was horrible. well I wouldn't say horrible but it wasn't good. If you listen to it again it was not good and she should be torwards the bottom. Kristy Lee Cook didn't do that good in my opinion. She sang the same phrase over and over again. If she stays in she'll sing a song just like that the same notes over and over again. Brooke and Carly were by far the best but even though I'm an Alexandrea fan you put her way too far up. She wasn't soo hot last night. And I know people will disagree with me when I say Syesha should be higher but I thought she was great last night. But I think you almost have everything right.

I pretty much agree with actor333kirby333. Especially on Ramiele. I would add: don't do a disco song if you can't dance. I thought Crazy On You and You're So Vain were the best of the night - dead on - but both too true to the original. There were so many blues rock bands in the '70s, what the hell was Amanda thinking? She should have been able to nail an Allman Brothers Band tune: Midnight Rider, Whipping Post, Statesboro Blues. I think Amnda gets bounced, I thought that was by far the worst performance of the year: out of tune, off time, ick! And she's not the type Idol voters favor. The second is harder to predict, I think it will be a surprise. Maybe Alexandrea. The guys: Yeager and Carrico.

Carly and Brooke were the only outstanding performances. Amanda was outed as a fraud - she is only good when impersonating Janis Joplin. I think she goes tonight, along with either Kady or Alaina. The guys were much better, especially the 3 Davids. I hope Hope HOPE Danny goes tonight. Yeager, Luke, or Robbie should join him.

I'm really disappointed with last night's show. So boring! Not even an ICK factor -- well -- Amanda Overmyer was pretty scary -- but scary is not icky in the train wreck 'can't take my eyes from the screen so I'll just cringe and wretch' way Yucky Yeager was -- I actually left the room after a few seconds of Amanda -- just couldn't get past the hair and the scarecrow dancing. And poor teen Alaina Whitaker -- all dressed up like Barbie with a terrible song choice -- that's all I will say about that. There was no energy in the show - none. Yes -- Carly and Brooke were good. But no one stood out to me. Well -- wait -- I was impressed by Brooke and her guitar -- that's two instruments so far for her and I am always impressed by people who can accompany themselves. I'm a girly girl -- so I lean more towards Paper Moon.

Ooooo, 80s night could be awful: Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Phil Collins covers. I shudder.

I really wasn't feeling Brooke or Ramiele. I can only imagine finding that version of "You're So Vain" good if the original didn't exist.
