Right now I think Carly is the one to beat. She might not be my current favorite but she has consistantly shown that she is there to win!

Default David, yes; Carly: not so sure
I hope and pray David Cook wins. But Michael Johns will be real competition. But Carly...I really like her, but I wonder if she has the vocal range to get her over the finish line. I'm eager to see how she handles other genres besides rock and roll. I think her big competition will be Brooke.

Personally... I think David Cook has what it takes and have thought so since top 24.. (that is when I first started watching... ) part of me.. doesn't want him to win... because he is going places without the win.. but.. darnit.. part of me just wants him to take it all..
I also like Jason Castro.. the kid can sing.. I love it.. so simple, sweet and textured. Lets not forget the angelic face..

I really also like Brooke.. eventhough Carly has some chops.. there is something about Brooke that just makes you want to listen.. I love the texture of her voice... and yes Michael Johns.. he is sexy.. and he could just be some competition for my boy... David C... but David C.. when he smiles that half grin while he is singing.....wow.. is all I can come up with... sorry David C... but words escape me at the thought of that half grin and that voice of yours... love it...

I love Jason C.. he has such a simple textured voice and a way of expressing himself that is wonderful... and is also a fave of mine... I hope he is around for loooong while...

David Cook just keeps bringing it though...

in regards to Carly.. you are right about her Chops.. but Brooke has an appeal to her that can't be denied...

Brooke is definitely my favorite of the girls... Her voice is not winning quality though... But that's what makes her so wonderful...

David Cook and Jason Castro are both amazing. Castro has the same feel every week but his performances always make me smile and are always perfect. Cook keeps up some change but keeps his own amazing feel, which is why he should win... They should both just go independent though...
